Is it me, and I might sound crazy, or does Auburn’s schedule have them set up to go 12-0?

I’m not being biased, I’m just thinking…
We open with LTU, Mississippi State, and Ball State at home all seeming like automatic wins. West Virginia has to come to the Plains for the game this year. Say they win that at Night on National TV. They beat Ball State afterwards, they’re 4-0. Auburn has a winning record all-time in Neyland Stadium and has won 2 straight at Tennessee, 4 overall. If they beat Tennessee on the road, they’re 5-0. Then they go to Arkansas. Auburn has a 4-game winning streak at Arkansas and they’re looking for revenge over a team they shouldn’t have lost to last year. 6-0. Then we host Kentucky. 7-0. So we’re 7-0 and clinching a bowl. We have a great staff. Maybe the best in college football. Then we go to LSU. If we were good enough to win those 7 games, and LSU seems like they’re not what they used to be, and Death Valley has seemed to have lost it’s magic. So if Auburn beats LSU, we’re 8-0. Then we host Ole Miss. If they’re overrated and the game’s at Auburn, the Tigers can win. 9-0. We play Furman. 10-0.
Then we go to rival UGA and host Alabama.
I’m just saying, this schedule fits with our talent, our great coaches, and the fact we’re under-the-radar. Plus, Bama came out of nowhere last year and did the same, so don’t use "They sucked last year" as a reason we won’t be able to go 12-0.

I’m not saying we’re going 12-0, I highly doubt we’ll win 9 games, but think about the schedule. We only have 4 road games (Tennessee, Arkansas, LSU, UGA) and 2 of our toughest opponents come to Auburn. With a good schedule, do you think Auburn has any shot to go 12-0 if they surprise some people? They will surprise some people, but 12-0 isn’t going to happen. But can it?

I want your opinion on my theory.
Let me point out again that Saban had a winning percentage of 30% at Miami and Bama stunk in 2007 and went unbeaten in 2008. what shot does Gene Chizik (with Gus Malzahn, Ted Roof and Tracy Rocker) have of erasing the 5-19 from everyone’s minds and going 12-0?
Aww, C’mon JoePa. lol I can take some trash talk. I’m just asking if it’s in the realm of possibility. Bama went from 6 wins to 12. The reason Auburn can’t go from 5 to 12 with a great staff and underrated players is beyong myself. lol
Philip, you people make out the Auburn AD to be worse than it really is. Tubberville wasn’t fired, he resigned, and Chizik got rid of everybody left.
I know you’re not, I was just throwing it out there. And if we have the luck of last year’s team, we’ll see you in that Gator Bowl. lol
UCLA fan: You purposely meant to get all those facts wrong, didn’t you. UGA doesn’t always beat us (Auburn is 53-50 against UGA and has a 75% winning percentage in Athens). The road team always wins UGA-AU. And Les Miles flashed his brilliance late in the game against Bama last year. NOT. I’m not SAYING they’re going 12-0, do some of you even read what I type up there? I just said don’t count out Auburn. They’ve always been good as an under-the-radar team.

Ha .. ha .. ha .. ha ..

Which answer do you want?

The one that reinforces your fantasy?

The one that brings you back down to earth with a lot of truth and realism in it?

Ok .. I’ll give you something you and I both can live with.

GEORGIA beats Auburn … Period. With that loss your season is over.

Norry baby!? Was it something I said??? (smiling) You People!? Where’d that come from?!?

I said nothing about the Auburn AD or Tommy Tubberville and I don’t have a problem with Gene Chizik.

I just don’t think you cats have a frozen snowballs chance in Helsinki of going undefeated. Your school is in transition. You got a good minute or two before you get good again.

Oh … yeah! I strongly dispute the 53 Auburn wins versus 50 losses. Right now the record is identical at 49 an 49 and even though the away team has won the majority of games in opponents stadium it’s more like 60% right now for Auburn. but Georgia has won the last 3 contests so that evens it up. I will forgive you on the 53 and 50 numbers. Here’s the link :

Aww, Norry, c’mon. That’s a stretch. But then again, the more I look at it, the more I see it’s in the realm of possibility.

No. They will beat Mississippi State 12-0, then lose all their other games.

I think that will be pushing it, I see 9 wins but You could sell me 10. the funny thing is I like your assistants, but I watched Chizik the last few years, I think it was a mistake to take him.

in case you want to know which games you lose LSU and Georgia and more than likely ole miss or Arkansas.

good luck, I wish you luck.

I have my team (Huskers) with 2 looses heading to the big twelve title game, where we lose to the sooners for a second time.

You will win 8 games raising the Auburn faithful expectations to unbelievable levels. The following year those same expectations are dashed and in a reversal of fortune (for Gene Chizik) the school fires him and starts all over again. (laughing)

Gene Chizik couldn’t do SHIT at Idaho State. He did however did great coaching the 02 undeafeted Tigers (D-COOR). They still don’t have a ligit QB!!! The have Brandon Tate who is a great RB but doesn’t matter because they run the spread. There defense isn’t gonna be as good as the last couple of years where. No way you beat UGA, Bama, or Ole Miss. Ole Miss isn’t overatted. They get most of their starters back on d and QB Jevon Snead. LSU will simply out coach Auburn in a close one like always. Bama won’t be as good as last year but Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, and Terrance Cody out play any opponents. (I hate Saban to though). UGA always beats Auburn! and especially is they go "Blackout" with there black jersies, I know you have nightmeres about that. I hate to piss on your wheaties again Norry but 12-0? Even if they do go 12-0 they don’t stand a chance against UF. You guys will get an impressive win over Tennessee in Tennessee (toughest place to play) but in another close one like last year’s. 9-3 at best possiby 7-5. I don’t care how much you improve but you guys lost to fucking Vandy last year! Vanderbilt? really? You know your team but come on. Chizik sucks and no QB! I am being critical because at Auburn there are always high expectations (real good program) so I’m not saying they suck or sucked because nobody sucks in the SEC.
EDIT: I’m saying recently UGA beats Auburn All Time record doesn’t matter! I dont care who beat who in the 1940’s! The spread simply won’t work in the SEC. And no ofense but I haven’t seen you name more then 2 Auburn players I’m just saying maybe you need to look at Auburn’s depth chart again. Auburn simply cant recruit like Alabama does. Not as good as a program and not as good of a Coach. Every young kid that wants to play football want’s to be recognized by the media and play for a school that has better history. That’s where they choose Alabama. When they get in the Top-5 in recruiting again then you can start talking trash. But you sound fucking retarded when you talk about 12-0 from a team that didn’t even make it to a bowl. I mean I love UCLA but at least I admit we need some time to develope.

Norry… i have a lot of respect for you and me and you seem to agree on a lot, but this must be the lack of sleep getting to you man. AU has the toughest schedual in the SEC (next to Miss State), and as a resident of baton rouge let me promise you death valley hast lost a thing, which will also be bad when my gators roll into BR. And even though Tenn doesnt have a good history with AU this is their year to show off their Defense and Auburn is right in the cross hairs. And in all honesty Ole Miss is likely to take the west, Snead and Bolden make a perfect wildcat offense set and they have a solid d to follo it all up, Miss will be likely to shock the world this year. And as for bama, Saban has a squad he can work with and always hits the weak spots, and be honest, AU has a lot this year. As for WV, AU needs to win that game, its a must, but its still not going to be a gimme at home, Noel Devine is a super star that can strike over and over again.

AU will upset somebody, dont know who but somebody. But they will lose 3-4 games easy this season (im not sleeping on Arkansas either, plus UGA has AJ Green, another probable loss). Im just saying this because AUs offense has suffered a lot since the shift to full spread, and seems to be having trouble getting back on their feet. As an SEC fan im quite aware of their ability to go 10-2, 11-1, but rarely does the SEC see a team go undefeated, im not even counting on the Gators going undefeated even though this would be a dream come tru and if it were to happen any year its this year. Im actually really upset that Tubberville is gone, and trust me in 90% of games im going for AU (been a fan since the Caddilac days), but next year will be a bigger money year for you guys, i see a good recruiting class coming in for yall.

I see Auburn going 8-4 at best, and that’s a stretch. I really see them winning 6 games or so. There’s no way they’ll beat Alabama, Ole Miss, or Georgia short of a huge collapse by one of those teams. Ole Miss actually played better on the road last year and if that holds up this year Auburn really doesn’t have a chance. LSU is a long shot to win, Arkansas will probably be above Auburn’s level atlhough I think it could be a good game. Tennessee will be an interesting game. The rest of them I see as probably wins for Auburn.

If y’all still had Tuberville I’d give you 7 wins, but I just don’t know about Chizik. I just don’t think Auburn has that kind of talent right now either to sniff an undefeated mark. I do think Auburn will be better if the coaching staff turns out okay and they won’t be the kind of team you can overlook which might allow them to pull off an upset but I think hell will freeze over before Auburn will go undefeated.

I see that bieng a streth a long stretch! If you wanna play a real game, play against the Florida Gators. To bad you’re not scheduled for it 🙁 But I doubt they’ll go 12-0 maybe 8-4 or something like that. No bowl game.
