I have questions about 2 relatives buried @ Files Valley Cemetery, Files, TX. What gov depart. do I contact?

June 6th, 2010 1 comment

I have already contacted the records clerk in Hill County, Texas that handles the birth, death & marriage certificates, but she said she doesn’t know who to contact. Any suggestions?
Update – I don’t need to know where they are buried or dates – I have pictures of their graves. My questions are pertaining to the data on the stones – discrepancies to other records on same people. If there is such a thing as a cemetery office, I can’t find a number or a address

If you’re looking for information related to their burial, doesn’t the cemetery office have the information you’re seeking?

Sorry for the delayed reply .. let me see what I can find out and I’ll write again in a few minutes (it’s Friday, 5:00PM in Chicago)

Okay, here’s a website with a list of the names of those buried there. The website also has a phone number for info on plot availability and an email address of the person who assembled the list of names. Sounds like the email addy may be useful to you.

It’s a small cemetery that may have begun as a family burial place. So you’re right that there’s no office.

I hope there’s something helpful here…

A classic East-coast rap tune – remember THIS folks ?

April 23rd, 2010 4 comments

wow.

was my first word @ hearing and watching the video of this when it was first aired , i was in new york at the time – family trip.

I remember how much air play this got out there, it was insane.

to me this track pretty much put to rest any misconception that the east coast hip hop scene was living under the west coast’s shadow – the tell tale signs were already there, funny/creepy how post-pac spelled the death of death row records, and like bad boy records just went from strength to strength. Ma$e was shit hot then wouldn’t you agree ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IE-WFGJfBso&feature=PlayList&p=5FD8ECBE048D5D73&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=15

the greatest east coast rap tune/vid ever made in the 90s – if u know of something that beats this, bring it.
yeah i know it’s not the full video – knew that but didn’t think it was necessary to mention that, since those who remember the vid/song would have been happy with the length of this version.

I’ve seen the full length clip on the tube before, dunno where its at now – but if u know where it is, post it by all means sir.

till then stfu you pr!ck.

Hot song but only average for the time period. The video in the link you gave us cuts off before the end of the song, so maybe you want to try a different one. PEACE
Edit: Oh real mature. Call me a prick for pointing out the truth! It is what it is, no need for name calling.

Some help needed on new clues to ancestry ; Does Family Crest allow you to access 1841 Scotland Census?

http://trees.ancestry.com/pt/HintList.aspx?ret=-834926459&pid=-834926459&tid=9210729&pg=0

On this link, the page I’m looking for help on is the third link (1880 United States Federal Census Record). It says he was born in ”about 1873”, which sounds right, because on the 1930 Census, it says my grandfather (Thomas Madigan’s) father was 57 years old. It says his father’s name was Patrick. Does it say who his mother was? I know it says John Madigan was born in the state of New York, but does it say where specifically? Don’t worry about the 4th link. I already have the information from the second link on this link. If you’d like, you could check this page, to see if there’s any leads. On the 1st link, this may show where he was born. The year of death is probably off though. The 1910 Census, taken in April 15 1910, recorded John Madigan as 34 years ago, so it’s possible he was born in 1876 or 1877.

http://trees.ancestry.com/pt/HintList.aspx?ret=-706941509&pid=-706941509&tid=9210729&pg=0

If the first link is correct, than it’s possible the 1st link on this site is too. If John Madigan was born in 1873, it’s possible that his father, Patrick, was born before 1841, to be taking in the Scotland Census Record in 1841. This says he was born in Ireland, so I’m unsure of why he may have lived in Lanarkshire, Scotland at the time. I’m not sure what information this link will give, but what ever there is, whether it’s his parents, siblings or immigration record, it’s helpful. I’m not sure what the 2nd and 3rd links say, but there could be information there too.

http://trees.ancestry.com/pt/HintList.aspx?ret=-709380172&pid=-709380172&tid=9210729&pg=0

On this link, I’m looking to obtain information from the 3rd link. I previous found information on her in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 Censuses, but there could be other information, such as what part of New York she may have been born in, that might be listed on this link. Or there may be useful information on her parents that weren’t listed in later Censuses.
My grandmother told me the name was Finley. It could be Findley though. I didn’t ask her how it was spelled, but I will next time I speak to her, if she knows.
My maternal grandfather’s mother’s maiden name is Finley (Or Findley). My maternal grandmother’s mother’s maiden name is Castino. On her father’s side, I’m not sure what paternal grandmother’s maiden name is, but I’ll look at the clues you’ve shown.

Did you know that you can access a transcript of the 1880 census for free at www.familysearch.org? Have a look 🙂

I’ll see if I can find anything else useful.

Edit
I don’t think that 1880 family with father Patrick is right.
If the 1910 census is right John should be married by 1900 but I found John (whose father is Patrick) still living at home in 1900.

John P Madigan
Home in 1900: Brooklyn Ward 13, Kings, New York

How can I find out death record of a person in Houston, texas, this year 2009?

March 28th, 2010 3 comments

The person has just disappeared & I do not need a death certificate or anything just want to know if something happened to this person.

Google the person’s name and the word "obituaries." If there was an obituary, then you’ll likely find a link to it. You can also try looking them up in the Social Security Death Index (address below), though if they died this year, it’s probably a little early for it to have been reported.

At least this is a start.

Dude I don’t even like the new president. I didn’t vote for him. He is a fake and he is already spending more $$$ in office making the U.S. more in debt. Next 4 years are going to be hell with him in office. Thanks America for voting for him that wanted Change!?!?! You got what you asked for America! I think it wasn’t about electing him in office b/c of politics, I think people elected him in office to make history for the first black president. Next thing you know it, America will have Indian, Native American, Chinese, Japanese, Hispanic, Hindu, Islamic, German and more presidents like that. & when that happens America will be a wasteland.

For example, a person who is completely unrelated to the person being searched for?

You can search death records here.

I need an attorney who practices in Missouri who will work with me ?

February 24th, 2010 2 comments

To Whom It May Concern:

Being a veteran of the World’s greatest military, as many of you are I would expect you to hold integrity to yourself when hearing my story.

On or about the month of December 2004 I was hired on by the Missouri Department of Corrections at Moberly Correctional Center . While I was there I came in contact with a female employee whom I befriended. On or about March 2005 she and I left with our group to attend the training academy in Jefferson City, while there I made some decisions that did not hold up to my character. On several occasions during after duty hours I consumed alcohol with this particular female. However approximately the third week of training the last one of these occasions occurred with the end result of me being accused of sexual assault and terminated from my employment due to her allegations. The Department of Corrections states that I was terminated for bad conduct for consuming alcohol and being late for class (1day late due to illness & the only other day was the day after the alleged allegation). When I was terminated I appealed this decision because I felt I was being discriminated against however my appeal was denied. Given the facts this other female Individual was consuming alcohol just as often as I was and that she was late to class as often as I, their decision was to allow her to keep her employment but terminate mine. I am under the impression that they believe I actually committed these accusations therefore terminating me for sexual assault, if they were to honestly terminate me for bad conduct for the consumption of alcohol they would have terminated this female individual as well. Regardless of what the Department of Corrections may have in their records they were aware of her actions while in the training academy. I have a letter signed by the Macon County Victims Advocate dated February 7, 2007 which states quote “ I made several telephone calls to law enforcement in Jefferson City and was told upon investigation the overall feeling was that Ms. XXXX made the accusation in order to keep from getting in trouble with her employer for drinking while in training and having relations with a fellow correction officer” this letter also states “ Ms. XXXX had a history of making false allegations in Macon County ”. I have attached this letter.

After this incident I filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity but did not follow through due to family emergencies and I had also contacted the State Reps., State Senate, Director of State, the Division Director of Department of Corrections and Superintendant of Moberly Correctional Center their decisions stood final. I also seeked counsel from an attorney in Macon County who wanted much more than I could afford being a single father with 2 children at that time. It wasn’t until recently that I applied for a position as a law enforcement officer with the Travis County Sheriffs Department in Austin , Texas and found that because of the mark on my employment record I would not be able to obtain the position I was longing for. My criminal record is clean, I have many accredited hours in Criminal Justice, I am only being held back from doing what I want to, do due to false accusations from an unbalanced young lady. I am coming forward to all of you in the hopes of clearing my employment record.

As giving my all but death to this country as a 6 year veteran with an Honorable Discharge from the Navy, and currently on active duty with the California Air National Guard, I do believe I deserve better than this. I have been respectful to my Commander in Chief, to the State of Missouri and have always maintained honesty and integrity. I would only hope after reading this story you too would uphold your integrity and ask yourself, does this young man deserve such a tainted mark upon his employment record? If you honestly do not think so what could you do, given the office and position that you hold? Thank You for your time.

Very Respectfully,

Joshua S. Yount

Senior Airman United States Air Force

Can anybody help me find info on my great father in-law, Hermann Hemesath, immigrated to US from Germany?

February 20th, 2010 4 comments

He either owned or worked in a brewery in St Paul, Minnessota. I live in Austria now and have no job and no credit card so I am finding it very difficult to research. I know from the few pictures I have found that he worked in St Paul in 1955. I have only been able to find his New York entrance records. It is very important to my mother in law. Her mother told her he abandoned her but apon the mothers death, she found a box full of letters from him saying how much he loved her and pleading for her to write him. My mother in law lived a horrable life and if I could shed just a little bit of light on her past, I hope it will bring her some closure. I believe he died in 1965 and was born in 1911. Ihope someone can help.

If this is the same man, then I’m afraid he did die in 1965.

Herman Hemesath died in Santa Cruz, California on 28 March 1965. It lists his date of birth as 30 May 1911 in Germany.

Ironically, I found 2 other men with the same name living in Iowa. One was born in 1908 and died in 2000, the other is still living. I have no idea if there was any relationship between them all.

I did find several telephone listings and addresses for people with this last name (which I’ve organized by state for you) at this site: http://www.whitepages.com/10001/log_feature/sort/search/Replay/?search_id=50191321541355727642&sort=state

If you had a clean DL for over 15 yrs and had 1 bad accident w no injury/death, what happens to DL & insurance

February 7th, 2010 2 comments

Would appreciate response in terms of insurance (over 9 months paid insurance still left) and the car being beyond recovery, may result in me going for a new car as well as my DL with no negative record ever in California state. The accident was just an accident – no DUI, no neglect on any person’s part!
I add that I have not been cited for the accident and also, i have not had any mishap or problem with my DL (absolutely clean) in any of the other states in US or overseas with my current licence or with my previous licenses in NJ state and in Cananda

I’m an insurance guy myself and that’s a common question. First of all, the status of your DL will depend on if you were cited for anything. You didn’t say whether you were or not, so I’ll assume you weren’t. Your DL will be unaffected. Your insurance rates will increase. That’s standard practise. But you won’t have any immediate out of pocket insurance expenses (since your deductible will be taken from your total loss check), so you won’t see an increase in rates until you renew your policy in 9 months.

Looking for a death record and i need help?

My great great grandparents who died in Brooklyn, New York

Names:

Vito Manzella (born 1872) (Immigrated in 1903)
Anna Manzella (born 1882) (idk when she immigrated)

They married in 1898 and had a daughter in 1903 Rosa (immigrated 1920)

Anna and Vito Manzella both died around the same time, (1952-1955) somewhere around there, idk the exact year but it was in the early to mid 1950s

I cant find a death record for them anywhere. Theres a website italiangen.com it shows death records up to 1948, and the ssdi only shows like late 1960s to 2009

that big gap between 1949- 1965? where are the records

someone plz help
I’ve tried ancestry.com

came up with nothing

Have you tried the Rootsweb surname list for Manzella?
