I believe the average range of sentencing is 1-10 years per event for a non-extenuated (using the terms listed earlier) rape. I'd say it's a good sign that your father has been moved to a minimum security prison. Hopefully, they'll parole him at his next hearing and then you can help him acclimate to the real world.
