Resurrection – 5. Torture Chamber

September 19th, 2011 16 comments

Old skool death metal from Florida, USA!!! It will kick you in your face!
Artist: Resurrection
Song: Torture Chamber
Album: Embalmed Existence (1993)

Lyrics:
Torture chamber, test your wil to live
Die by nature, this time you must give
Take my hand, feel my pain
Torchure chamber, kils again
Your empty soul, fate of time
Torture chamber will survive
Your time has come, you wait for the dawn
You’ve sealed your fate, defied by human face
Torment, the cry of death
You stand alone, there’s nothing left
Your world, is torn apart
Your sordid luife reaches out
Sorrow deastroy the mind
Mourn the sins, feel the cries
Denial, immortal sin
Your mortal heart, explodes within

How Long Will My Case Take? Florida Injury and Wrongful Death Attorney Steve Brooks Explains

September 3rd, 2011 No comments

http://www.brookslawgroup.com

Florida personal injury wrongful death attorney Steve Brooks discusses one of the most important questions a client ever asks: how long will my case take?

Many factors go into determining how long a case will take. Most of the time of a case is taken gathering evidence, facts, and testimony. We may need to hire specialists to reconstruct the entire accident scene, interview witnesses, and examine all the evidence. Your medical records are another step in the process. If you have a long medical record with lots of prior medical history that can take a long time to get from different sources. The actual treatment you receive is also very important to the length of your case. We want your treatments to have been completed in order to gain the best possible settlement for your case. Also, dealing with insurance companies can take time. If you deal with someone who does not act in good faith it can extend the whole process. Watch the video to learn more.

The Roots Bloody Roots of Erik Rutan from Hate Eternal!

August 16th, 2011 4 comments

This past weekend we had the privilege of seeing Hate Eternal perform live and loud at Santos Party House, alongside Origin, Vital Remains and Abysmal Dawn! Prior to the show we interviewed Erik Rutan about his extensive career as a Death Metal musician and as a Heavy Music producer. While we had always heard great things about Rutan, it was refreshing to find out that he is one of the most humble and professional Death Metal musicians out there. During the interview we discussed Hate Eternal’s newest album “Phoenix Amongst the Ashes”, as well as his work with other bands like Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Agnostic Front and Madball, just to name a few.

During the conversation we also discussed how Rutan was transplanted from New Jersey into Florida, in order to establish himself as a big player within the Death Metal scene. Buckle up and enjoy this exclusive interview which features live footage of Hate Eternal as well as some badass pictures! ENJOY! \m/

I have a legal question!?

August 6th, 2011 1 comment

My ex-husband died in 2006 in Florida. We share two children together. When he died I was contacted by his father telling me that he couldn’t handle his son’s last affairs without me signing and allowing his father to do so. I am not sure why I was the one that would have been responsible but I signed the necessary form. Years later I can’t find any public records on his estate. He still has assets in his name. There was a vehicle that was restored. His father and I had a conversation after his death. We came to the conclusion that the vehicle would be auctioned and the proceeds would be distributed among his children. To the best of my knowledge the process hasn’t been completed and I believe that the vehicle is still in possession of a car club that he belonged to. I am now wondering if there is any legal standing for my children or if there is a statute of limitations.

Unfortunately your genuine claim is barred by statute of limitations.

The process did not require your signature unless you were still listed as a beneficiary, however the next of kin would have been the children and not the father so he had to be assigned as executor in order to file for probate, apparently the property is sitting in limbo and nothing has been done, you need an attorney to stand in for the children and get their share of the estate.}{

Wrongful conviction isn’t an epidemic that is new to our country. But through DNA evidence we’re learning how prevalent it is. From the University of Miami Innocent Project: Florida has one of the highest rates for wrongful convictions in the nation. Since 1973, over 24 Florida death row prisoners have been exonerated through the use of DNA and other scientific practices not available at the time they were convicted. But lack of DNA is not the only reason for wrongful convictions, false confidence in eye witness identification, improper police procedures and ineffective counsel can all add to a wrongful conviction.
