Does Barack Obama support infanticide?

He supports killing babies who survive late-term abortions? Isn’t this infanticide?

This article at the Wall Street Journal has the story of Gianna Jessen, a woman who survived late-term abortion. Gianna’s medical records state that she was "born during saline abortion."

Do you view this as infanticide?
As an Illinois state senator, Barack Obama twice opposed legislation to define as "persons" babies who survive late-term abortions. Babies like Gianna. Mr. Obama said in a speech on the Illinois Senate floor that he could not accept that babies wholly emerged from their mother’s wombs are "persons," and thus deserving of equal protection under the Constitution’s 14th Amendment.

A federal version on the same legislation passed the Senate unanimously and with the support of all but 15 members of the House. Gianna was present when President Bush signed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act in 2002.

When I asked Gianna to reflect on Mr. Obama’s candidacy, she paused, then said, "I really hope the American people will have their eyes wide open and choose to be discerning. . . . He is extreme, extreme, extreme."

Yes, I view it as infanticide. But then, I also view late-term abortions as murder and partial-birth abortion as heinous.
Barack Obama’s record shows he supports late-term abortion and opposed the surviving baby legislation, so it does appear he supports infanticide to a degree and that is unacceptable.

Barack Obama appears to be scumbag in expensive clothing. This is another reason not to vote for him.
Although I am pro-choice, I oppose his position on this bill and also oppose late-term and partial birth abortions unless the mother’s life is in danger.

You assume that the reason he decided to vote no was that he wants to kill babies. You’re looking at it from a very flat perspective. Not only would that be hurtful because it would give anti-choice legislation a better foothold, but you have to consider that rarely dos legislation say only one thing. There are a myriad of additions and limitations in any legislation, and he may have found opposition with one of the stipulations.

That being said, Obama’s work with pro-choice groups has done a great deal in cementing my vote for him – many others, as well.

Bring your thumbs-down now, I know that anything that doesn’t nod blankly and lemming along with your point gets it. But thanks for the two points.

Yes he is the only person to vote against the Baby Born alive act stating that if a baby lives through the abortion the baby should be saved , but Obama thinks they should be left to die. That is MURDER!!

Yes, he was vocal that by calling that baby a human being it would mean that abortion was killing human beings and all that entailed in meaning.
Therefore he fought against the concept vehemently, to recognize that living breathing "thing" as a human being.

Yep Obama wants no regulation what so ever on abortion yet he is willing to regulate other rights.

I don’t see how his stance on abortion can be accepted by anyone beside the ultra Pro-abortion folks.

Megan you are a fine example of the pro-abortion people that I want to stand up and say "I am for killing babies"
I have more respect for you position.

I’ll answer your question with a question:
Which of the following would Obama vote NOT to protect?

    1. Bald Eagle Eggs in the nest
    2. Baby whales
    3. Tiger cubs on the Serengeti
    4. A human child

    The answer would be #4.

    I rest my case.

Barack Obama supports infanticide the same way you support unprovoked murder. Every time you put flesh,or fluids from an animal into your mouth, you and rest of flesh eaters send a message that killing for pleasure, laziness and not wanting to be inconvenienced is OK.

So what if they suffer all their lives?

President did not vote for late term abortion. He supported bills that were already in place and did not see the need for repetition.
But, of course, those preferring to distort the facts, speak out negativly about our president will never acknowledge facts.
His pro choice stance is another reason I support him. These pompous, hypocritical, Bible thumping politicians (while lying, distorting, fear mongering, goals to destroy us and our country)
have no right to tell any woman what they can or cannot do with or to their body.
