Where is Leo Alfred Myers in 1910?
Leo Alfred Myers was born 22 Feb 1890 in Illinois. I have found him in 1900, 1920, 1930. I have his death record and his WWI Draft card. (Where he said 22 Feb 1885). I can’t find him in 1910. He may have been married by then; he may not. His first wife, Anna Mae/Fay Leslie, inconveniently died from complications of childbirth in 1929.

William Brown is Ann Elizabeth McCartney’s second husband. Ann’s first husband was Alfred Myers, who we saw in 1900. Ann uses Ann, Anne, Annie, Elizabeth and Lizzie as her whimsy strikes her, the wild fey creature.
Anna Mae/Fay Leslie says she is b. Missouri in 1920. The informant then was probably her husband or her. Her son’s 1930 says she was b. in Kentucky. The 1930 informant is probably her mother-in-law or her step-father-in-law. I’m thinking Missouri is the right one. The 1910, if I’m l’m lucky, will confirm one or the other; it may say Ohio or Arkansas, too.

In 1910 at Ft Des Moines (Troop K 6th Cavalry) in Bloomfield, Polk County Iowa listed in Ancestry’s index a Lee W Myen and corrected to Leo W Myen but age is 20 yr single born Illinois, father in Michigan and mother in Indiana – Solider in US Army
I don’t know enough about records available in the US to help specifically…..however a few thoughts…which you may or may not have looked at…he would have been 20 years old in 1910, so in 1920 he was an Ind, machinist, shipyard in 1930 Ind, engineer, shovel……is it likely he was working in the ship yards on census night 1910, or on board a ship ( trial/testing) and out at sea, if so and according to census rules in the US at that time ( ?) which may or may not be the same as the UK could it be he was just forgotten, left off, not required as not at home or are there census for ship yards/ test sails….have you found the rest of his family in 1910? Are the 1910 census complete in that area of the country?………………………………..
