For those of you naysayers who claim that these signs have always been around, this in itself is a last day Bible prophesy that has been fulfilled (2 Peter 3:3-4)

Just to add to my point, here are other end time Bible prophecies that have been or are being fulfilled:

The Christian gospel would be preached in all nations (Matthew 24:14; Mark 13:10; Revelation 14:6) This has been fulfilled through television, radio and global communication

Global communications foreseen (Revelation 11:9-10; 17:8) TV and global satellite networks allow news to travel the world at the speed of light for the first time ever. Remember that in the apostle John’s day, news traveled at the speed of horseback.

Mankind would be capable of destroying all life (Matthew 24:21-22) When Jesus made this prophecy the armaments of His day were swords and spears. But today, with nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, it is possible to wipe out all flesh on planet earth.

Deadly diseases (which the Bible calls pe

This stuff happen all the time .Your big wall of text proves nothing.I believe the biggest earthquake happen in 1960 with a magnitude of 9.5 and it sure isn’t end of the world .The reason why we report so many natural disasters because science is so much more advance and news travel so much faster..More people died because simply there are more people duh.Famine is a common theme through out history. The things you mentioned wars, famine and natural will always occurred

Back than we do not have news that is readily available Now we have devices and machines that measure everything and we can better predict things .

If you go back further in your history — say the last few million years — you’ll see this has always been ongoing. Nothing new. Nothing different.

BTW, Irene is a LOT bigger than Arizona.

For those prophecies to be biblical prophecies, they need to have scripture attached to them. Where are your scriptures that specifically show them as prophecies?

    1) Actually, the period following the second world war has been the most peaceful time in recorded human history. Currently there are fewer wars going on, and those wars are killing fewer people, than any other time in history. That’s well established.
2)Just because there aren’t records of earthquakes, tsunamis and other things, doesn’t mean they didn’t happen. There aren’t any records of the Theran eruption, but geologists are pretty sure that it happened, and its impact was devastating. We’re not getting more natural disasters than might be usual.

you mean the same things that have happened in the 20th century, the 19th century, the 18 century?

These "end times" prophecies have been "fulfilled" at least twice a century for the last 1500 years.

You do know that god doesn’t cause natural disasters right? And did you forget how many people died in the civil war? More than the Iraq war I can guarantee that. What about the black plague? That happened many years ago and the world didn’t end. There are always signs of "end times". There are many earthquakes every year, there are droughts, floods, eruptions, tsunamis, hurricanes, and tornadoes every year? Why is this year any different?

All are natural disasters, so do you find the fulfillment of Bible prophecy in those disasters? poor chap. And show me the end time. Where it is? According to Bible Adam the 1st man was created before 6000 years, but what science said about it? Just calculate the ages of the peoples mentioned in Bible. You will find that Adam was fallen from heaven only before 6000 years. So do you want us to rely on such unscientific stuff? So show me the end time. when it will come?

Yeah right! The Jehova’s Witnesses said the end times were here at the start of World War I. Nations arose against nation, there were Earthquakes and volcanoes, and the Spanish flu was killing 8 million people. The year of 1914 was prophesized in the Bible as the coming of the Lord, and all the signs showed that Jesus’ second coming was iminent!

That was 96 years ago and those doom sayers are all now dead but their descendents like yourself are still convinced the second coming is iminent! Apparently 96 years is nothing to you.

So someone sat down 2000 years ago and predicted there would be more wars to come, and rumors of war, and famines, and natural disasters.

ANY bonehead could have sat down and written the exact same thing at ANY point in history — even right now — and it will become true sooner or later, because wars and famines and natural disasters happen all the frikkin time!

You want to impress me with your biblical scholarship? Then explain to me why the prophesy about "this generation not dying" before the second coming did NOT come true. And doesn’t that screw up your entire belief system?

    Yeah…I didn’t think so.

Gee…let me make a predicition! "Thence will come a time in the end days when morons will trumpet complete crap using lame vague "prophecies" as proof."

There! Now, at least you know one "prophecy" is coming true.

    Coincidence.
You don’t know how many time the bible has changed, when it was truely written or who actually wrote it. There is some truth in the bible but personally I believe it has been tailored to those who use and abuse its powers just like the constitution. If you belive in something you will look for the signs and see them as that, signs. You create what you believe.

These "signs" are things that always have been and always will be. Very clever, that Jesus fella was.

Amazing that non-Christians get it better than Christians. (I’m a non- BTW).

I believe what he was really saying is, "It’s none of your business, don’t worry about it, just be faithful and I’ll deal with the rest".

Jesus said in Matthew that in the last days nation will rise against nation >>> Name a time in history when nations didn’t rise against nations.

… there would be wars and rumors of wars >>> Name a time in history where the earth was war-free.

… and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.such as never before. >>> Well, YOU threw in that "like never before". It’s not in the texts. And again. Name a period of history where there were no famines and earthquakes.

Science has also predicted these "paranormal earthquakes" by study of the movement and structure of the techtonic plates.
