TomTom one postcode search?
Got a cheapo satnav and just ended up getting lost all the time! It’s now in the bin………..
I’m going to buy a TomTom one.
My main reason for having a satnav is to find specific houses, addresses etc (door to door) rather than just town to town and would like to know if it comes with 7 digit UK postcode address finder as standard.
If not how easy is it to upgrade and approx how much would this cost.
In fact is TomTom my best option, would you suggest something else. (Apart from a map!)

My TomTom has a postcode finder, but not sure if it’s as specific as seven digits.
If you have a PDA or fancy smartphone eg xda or spv then be aware you can buy (or download for free if you know where to find such things) Tom Tom software to use on that, and you can then use a bluetooth GPS dongle so it acts as a Tom Tom. Works out quite a bit cheaper, and is more secure because you carry it round with you.
