Reverse Phone Number Check Services – Free Or Paid?

One of the simplest ways to locate an unknown caller is to use the reverse phone number check. If you have the phone number it will only take you a few minutes of your time. All you have to do is go to one of a number of websites that I will discuss here, enter the number, press search and you are done.

If you search on-line you will find many of these reverse phone number check services. Of course, some are free, but the best ones provide the service for a small fee. The commercial services often provide a whole range of information as well as the name and address data. Location data is also much more detailed with zip codes showing maps of the area and even an international dialling code if this is required in order to help you dial back. You can even gain access directly to public access information such as birth dates, death records and other interesting facts.

Businesses cannot escape the net of these reverse phone number check services either, these services hold a huge amount of data on both business and private numbers. Believe it or not there are even a couple of services that can also run criminal record checks as well. This is amazing data if you are maybe a potential employer, or if you are a concerned parent wondering who your teenage daughter really is speaking to.

Perhaps the most important thing is the speed fo access and the relevance of the date. With paid services you dont need to worry about either of these. The same thing is not true of the free services I’m afraid.

I would always recommend that you choose a paid reverse phone number check service instead of a free one, after all what price can you really put on your families security as well as your valuable time.

How Can I Buy This Particular Toll-free Phone Number?
I’ve identified a toll free number (1-800-7×4-8×37) that I want to buy. The number is not currently in use, so I’m trying to figure out who owns it or how to buy it. I’m not interested in renting or leasing, but I can’t find anyone who offers those options for this phone number either.

If I call the phone number I get a message that says "sorry, the number you dialed is invalid, please check the area code dialed or call directory assistance in the city you wish to reach."

If I look up the phone number using "reverse phone lookup" services like Reverse Phone Detective (http://www.reversephonedetective.com/) or AnyWho (http://www.anywho.com), I get nothing. I even paid Intelius (http://www.intelius.com/) $14.95 to investigate the phone number, and they refunded my money because they couldn’t come up with anything.

There are a lot of cell phone lookup services out there. But this is not a cell phone number – it’s a toll free (800) number. Are there any services that can help?
I’m being told that I can’t "own" a toll free number – I can only pay a monthly fee to use it. So, if that’s the only option, that’s fine. But it seems no service providers are able to rent me the specific number I want (800-7×4-8×37). I’ve tried over a dozen toll free number providers, and none of them have this number. The number is not active and it’s not listed. How to I get access to it?

You cant buy a toll free telephone number. You can pay a monthly fee to use the number. Toll free numbers can be rent nationally, regionally, or locally. You will get a certain number of minutes included for your monthly fee. Look at sites like http://www.phonepeople.com.
