Will Pfc. Manning enjoy his life in prison and being Bubba’s girlfriend?

May 27th, 2011 5 comments

The Army intelligence analyst accused of leaking thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks was hit Wednesday with an additional 22 charges, including aiding the enemy, which is equivalent to treason in the civilian world.

That crime is a capital offense but the military is not seeking the death penalty against Pfc. Bradley Manning. If Manning is convicted of all the charges, he faces life in prison, reduction in rank to the lowest enlisted pay grade, a dishonorable discharge and loss of all pay and allowances.

The Army made the announcement of additional charges after seven months of investigation.
"The new charges more accurately reflect the broad scope of the crimes that Pvt. 1st Class Manning is accused of committing," said Capt. John Haberland, a legal spokesman for the Military District of Washington.

Other charges announced Wednesday include wrongfully causing intelligence to be published on the Internet knowing that it will be accessed by the enemy; theft of public property or records; transmitting Defense information; and fraud in connection with computers.

Be very careful when you endorse any punishment, including a date with Bubba, or else you might find that you don’t have as high a moral sense as you thought, especially should your turn with Bubba come around.

How can I be named executor of my fathers’ estate if we don’t know what his assets are?

My father died 2 weeks ago in the State of Michigan. We have been estranged for 20 years and know nothing about his life in recent years. (I live 500 miles away from where he did) We have found out that he has an IRA and a savings account with Chase Bank. However; the state will not give me control of his estate unless I can be specific about his financial situation. i.e dollar amounts in the accounts and most importantly account numbers. Now here’s the source of my problem: He had an on again-off again girlfriend who has been living with him in recent months prior to his death. She conveniently cannot locate any of his mail, bank statements, IRA statements, tax records or anything that would help me determine the actual assets of his estate. We believe in total his estates worth to be less than $15,000 dollars. I’ve been told about a Letter of Authority which will cost me $150.00 do get. This supposedly will give me access to this information directly from the financial institution. Supposedly. And then I can proceed with declaring his assets for probate. Can any one advise me in this area? What should I do? Am I doing the right thing? Oh, and one more thing to note: the ‘girlfriend’ is not a legal tenant in my fathers’ apartment and is not on the lease. Can I assume that everything in his apartment is his and do I have the legal right to search it to get the information that I need? Thank you for any help you can give me.
Also, there was no will.

You would hire someone to do an accounting of the assets. There are people who you can hire to do that if the estate is large.

Where can I get a free death record? *SORRY IT’S LONG*?

Okay, I’m having some issues here. My father…I mean…the man who donated sperm to make me. Sorry, but my father and I have never really had a whole lot to do with eachother. He chose drugs over being a real dad. The only reason we EVER had anything to do with eachother is because of my Abuela (his mom). She was one of the most wonderful people I have ever known. Anyway…back to my question. My father was very sick, contracted AIDS & cancer. He would always say he was taking all of the treatments but he constantly lied. Even about that. Last time I saw him he was very sick (he got extremely sick, not long after my Abuela died) and had even less to do with me. His girlfriend (another loser)…well, i wouldn’t put it past her to lie about something so serious. She called me back on…I believe it was October 13, 2007 and told me that my father had passed. I asked her what arrangements were being made for a funeral and all and she told me "none". That he was just going to be cremated and she was going to keep the ashes. Never asked my opinion (as his ONE AND ONLY CHILD) about anything. She had already decided and that was that. So i never argued the point, and never spoke to her again since that call. Anyway, like I said, he was a big drug addict, in and out of jail. Well, after he passed I called the jail to inform them (because he was on probation, and I didn’t want them going on a big search for him as they had done several other times as I was growing up, having bounty hunters or whatever on my doorstep asking me if I knew where he was). And they said "well, we need proof as in a death certificate. I said "okay, his girlfriend will have to deal with that one). Well, here I am a year and a half later, and I just decided to look up his name in the Florida Inmate Search website, and there is his mugshot (an old one), that says he is still under Supervised Probation until 7/2009. And the date says "Current as of 1/4/2009". So I’m starting to believe she actually LIED to me about his death!! I am very confused. Where can I get death records???? I don’t have much money right now (2 young kids, fiance out of work from MRSA, and a crappy economy) so I am wondering if there is anyplace I can look for FREE?

I don’t think that you can get anything for free. You would need to get the records from the town that he died in. I don’t think they are that expensive, but I do understand your money situation right now.

Maybe you can just call the town and tell them that you heard that your father died and if they can tell you if that is true?

Try googling his name with the word obituary after it…maybe something will pop up…or type death of__________(his name).

Hope this helps.

BTW, how is the fiancee?

What are the charges for death threats in New York?

My friend’s girlfriend cheated on him. He found out the other man’s number, called him and threatened to kill him. (no chance he will actually do it) The other guy recorded the phone call and reported it to the police. My friend was told to turn himself in to the police today. However he got a lawyer and now has to report to the police on Sunday. My question is how much trouble can he get into for making a threatening phone call? He has a clean record, no police history whatsoever. This all took place in New York. Since there was more than one phone call exchanged between them we are giving the call logs to the lawyer.

There are very stiff laws on terroristic threatening in the state of New York. Your friend was stupid to leave something on a machine like that. He will get something, but it will probably be plead down to probation and anger management training or something. This type of behavior usually escalates, so he really should get help, and get it with the intent to learn something.
