Information on the Barton family?

April 29th, 2010 3 comments

I recently asked a question on yahoo answers and had a bunch of new information passed to me. I am trying to find a little bit more now.

It all starts with

Mary G. Barton
Born: Oct 1892 in St Louis, Missouri
Died: Around 1921 (If anyone could find a death record that would be fantastic. Her married last name would be Becker in Massachusetts)

Her Parents were,

Thomas E Barton
Born Mar 1867 in New York

Margaret A Devine
Born: Jan 1867 in Canada Eng

I do not know much about the Bartons or the Devine’s. I am trying to find any information. I have a marriage notice of Mary and her husband and that is how i found the names. Any information otherwise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Mary had siblings. Here is her family, 1900 – 1920.

Do you find the timing of the death of Socks Rodham Clinton suspicious?

April 17th, 2010 3 comments

Was the sudden death of former First Feline Socks during Hillary’s visit to China a warning signal from the Chicoms to keep her yap shut about China’s dismal human rights record?

"(Hillary) noted that both sides already knew the other’s positions on the matter and said that human rights concerns "can’t interfere with the global economic crisis, the global climate change crisis and the security crises."

Her comments drew immediate fire from rights groups who said they sent the wrong message, undermined efforts to promote basic freedoms in China and squandered Washington’s leverage with Beijing. "

Some say that her careless statement about the possible abrupt premature death of a half white/half black "Cat" in the primaries cost her the presidential election. Oh you’re talking about the feline not the politician. As cold hearted as she is she will probably send poor Sock’s remains over to China to be served as a main course.

ARE YOU SICK & TIRED TOO?

Worth the read!
"I’m 63 and Im Tired"
by Robert A. Hall

I’m 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I’ve worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven’t called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there’s no retirement in sight, and I’m tired. Very tired.

I’m tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I’m tired of being told that I have to pay more taxes to "keep people in their homes." Sure, if they lost their jobs or got sick, I’m willing to help. But if they bought McMansions at three times the price of our paid-off, $250,000 condo, on one-third of my salary, then let the left-wing Congress-critters who passed Fannie and Freddie and the Community Reinvestment Act that created the bubble help them with their own money.

I’m tired of being told how bad America is by left-wing millionaires like Michael Moore, George Soros and Hollywood Entertainers who live in luxury because of the opportunities America offers. In thirty years, if they get their way, the United States will have the economy of Zimbabwe , the freedom of the press of China, the crime and violence of Mexico, the tolerance for Christian people of Iran, and the freedom of speech of Venezuela.

I’m tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren’t "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur’an and Shari’a law tells them to.

I’m tired of being told that "race doesn’t matter" in the post-racial world of Obama, when it’s all that matters in affirmative action jobs, lower college admission and graduation standards for minorities (harming them the most), government contract set-asides, tolerance for the ghetto culture of violence and fatherless children that hurts minorities more than anyone, and in the appointment of U.S. Senators from Illinois.

I think it’s very cool that we have a black president and that a black child is doing her homework at the desk where Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. I just wish the black president was Condi Rice, or someone who believes more in freedom and the individual and less arrogantly of an all-knowing government.

I’m tired of a news media that thinks Bush’s fundraising and inaugural expenses were obscene, but that think Obama’s, at triple the cost, were wonderful; that thinks Bush exercising daily was a waste of presidential time, but Obama exercising is a great example for the public to control weight and stress; that picked over every line of Bush’s military records, but never demanded that Kerry release his; that slammed Palin, with two years as governor, for being too inexperienced for VP, but touted Obama with three years as senator as potentially the best president ever. Wonder why people are dropping their subscriptions or switching to Fox News? Get a clue. I didn’t vote for Bush in 2000, but the media and Kerry drove me to his camp in 2004.

I’m tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate. My wife and I live in a two-bedroom apartment and carpool together five miles to our jobs. We also own a three-bedroom condo where our daughter and granddaughter live. Our carbon footprint is about 5% of Al Gore’s, and if you’re greener than Gore, you’re green enough.

I’m tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off? I don’t think Gay people choose to be Gay, but I damn sure think druggies chose to take drugs. And I’m tired of harassment from cool people treating me like a freak when I tell them I never tried marijuana.

I’m tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers," especially the ones who aren’t working, but are living

Yes sir I am. The problem is there are to many Americans wanting a free handout and the government is using those idiots to get elected so they can destroy our country. You are lucky to have seen America in the "good ole days" and I am sorry it is what it is today. I’m 33 and will fight socialism till my death and hope other young people see whats really going on. I completely understand your point of view and I believe your comments will help. Keep voicing your opinion. You are what I consider to be a true American.

I need Don Francisco address or e-mail to tell him my story about obtaining my US passport ?

March 30th, 2010 1 comment

I was born in Mexicali, Baja California Mex. in 47 but got my US citizenship through my father. In 1967 I received a US ID from the American Consulate here in Mexicali. Now they no long make them so I just pass the border saying US CITIZEN have been doing so for the past 43 years of have been living here in Mexicali and cross to Calexico, Ca. Where I use to work, took care of my parents till their death. Now that I need a US PASSPORT the American Consulate in Tijuana says I have to prove my dad’s citizenship through my grandmother who was born in the 1880’s and died in the 1950’s. I never new her but I found out while searching Ancestry my dad’s WW1 DRAFT REGISTRATION CARD OF 1918 where it has that my grandmother was in the STATE HOSPITAL PHOENIX, MARICOPA ARIZONA IN 1918. I called the hospital but all those records are long gone. Mr Wallace there told me to check with the VITAL RECORDS in PHOENIX to find her birth and death certificate. It’s been 6 months and so far they have found out nothing yet. I’m am very worried because a custom officer said my ID from the American Consulate will not be accepted in January 2009. I don’t know what to do next year I’ll be able to get my social security check but in november on my 62nd birthday what will happen with the money I worked hard for my old age.??????
Please a friend told me Don Francisco knows a Lawyer that could inform me what to do. They say (US CUSTOM) "That it’s a privilege to get a passport to cross the border". But I think "It’s more an HONOR being a US CITIZEN and having a US passport to prove it:"I am 61 year old and I am fighting for my right’s as a citizen which I believe to be. So please if I may have Don Francisco’s address or E-mail I will greatly appreciate it. Sincerely yours, Cecilia Cisneros Davis

You have the necessary US ID issued by an embassy to prove your citizenship. Nothing is more acceptable than that. You have worked and paid taxes (I presume) through all those years. You have an ssn card. What else do they need? Get an immigration lawyer to help you out.

Locating an elusive military record – researchers only please?

March 28th, 2010 1 comment

James McKenna, Black Range Tales, an attack on woodcutters by Apaches in the Mimbres Valley, New Mexico. McKenna, gives the date as ‘the fall of 1872. All ten wood cutters were killed, along with two troopers from Ft. Cummings, and someone named Young, who might, or mightn’t have been military. McKenna describes him as ‘a farrier’.

Eight microfilm of the records from the US Archives have provided hints that McKenna’s dates might be wrong. That the attack might have been 1869, when a mail-carrier named Young was killed [farrier – carrier similarity might explain it]. Or it might be later, during the Victorio wars.

Muster rolls have been pesky, and thus far no reports of the deaths have emerged, though they ought to be in correspondence from Cummings.

A McGurk, Company C, 4th Regiment, under Captain Tucker, Fort Cummings, was one McKenna source.

1st microfilm order assumed Cummings rpts went to Craig. But most seems to be Leavenworth.

Any thoughts where to go next?
Thus far haven’t located McGurk, nor his unit, nor Captain Tucker. But there are a lot of gaps in the Cummings correspondence and reports. I need to find where else they might be located in the archives.

I’d like to do this by buying and searching microfilm, as opposed to hiring a private researcher in Washington.

A "farrier" is someone who shoe’s horses as opposed to a blacksmith. Farriers just make shoes and fit them, blacksmiths do all manner of metal work. He may have been military, or civilian, given the mixed nature of the party. There may well be a typo in later transcripts leading to the carrier/farrier problem. However, I feel a farrier would be infinitely more use to the party, given the chance the wood cutters would have needed him for their horses.

What is the current average term served for rape?

March 8th, 2010 5 comments

Without making any excuses for him, my father was convicted of rape when I was a baby, 21 years ago. He was into drugs and bad stuff, but I’d like to at least mention that he’s a wonderful person now (and a much better father than the man who raised me, and then took off on his wife and 6 kids, rarely to be heard from again), so if you’re here to inform me that he should have been put to death or something, please don’t. I hear it enough.

Anyway, he’s been up for parole several times, but he’s been denied. I was wondering if anyone knew what the average time served was in the case of rape? My father has been moved to a minimum security prison, has a spotless behavior record, is captain of several inmate sports teams and manages the on-site manufacturing company the prison runs. I’ve long learned not to get my hopes up, but these "flops" are getting a bit ridiculous. I know a boy who got less time than my father has served for second-degree murder, after which he helped the actual killer cut up and burn the body (Michigan "Thrill Kill" case).

So, yea, I tried searching and none of the useful pages would load. Thanks ahead of time!

I don’t think there really is any average amount served. I’d say it’s a good sign that your father has been moved to a minimum security prison. Hopefully, they’ll parole him at his next hearing and then you can help him acclimate to the real world. Things have changed drastically while he’s been gone and will need your support.

Good luck.

Looking for information on a Dulcinia Brawner.?

February 24th, 2010 1 comment

We’ve done extensive research on our home and have come up against a road block. Dulcinia Brawner owned our property in Pittsburgh, PA from 1837 until her death in 1876. She was born in NC but we cannot find any records on her. She had no children, and was listed in the 1850 census as single, musician. She left her estate to a Nancy Twomey and seven children in Michigan. I find it fascinating that a single woman built our home, and the one next to us during that time, and would love to discover more.
The census, from what I can tell, has her name misspelled (I read the actual deed books when I looked up my home’s history). The predominant Brawner that I’ve found is "Brawner’s Farm" which was significant of a Civil War battle in Manassas, but I’m not sure if she was born a Brawner or if she married into the family. Thanks for searching!

I have just done a very quick search to see if I can find anything without having to get really stuck in, it’s 2:50 am here in the UK. I wonder if she inherited her wealth. Have you any idea how old she was when she died. I will continue to search using ancestry.com. If I find anything at all I will edit my answer.
Is this the same lady do you think! .Although there is no reference as to her employment., and I couldn’t make out the value of her estate it looks like 14:000 which if I’ve read it right is a massive amount for those days.

I rely on God to give me my strength and then my family. I have prayed to God so many times for strength, even times when I really felt down and depressed. There have been some times, that I think I would have gone to a mental hospital if it weren’t for my prayers.

If people open their hearts to God, He will help those who ask.

How many more of our children will have to die before our border laws are taken seriously by those sworn?

How many more of our children will have to die before our border our laws are taken seriously by those sworn defend both?

Illegal alien Francis Hernandez is on trial this week in Arapahoe County District Court for an automobile crash that resulted in the deaths of three people, including a 3-year-old boy.

Francis Hernandez, faces a total of 19 charges, including vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident involving death, and child abuse resulting in death.

On September 10, 2008, the parents of 3-year-old Marten Kudlis buried their son at Fairmount Cemetery, a few days earlier, he was killed while waiting for his ice cream in an Aurora Baskin and Robbins.

An SUV speeding through the intersection of Havana and Mississippi, with Guatemalan national Francis Hernandez at the wheel, slammed into a pickup truck, which was then pushed into the ice cream shop´s window. The toddler was sitting at a table in front of that window, and was sent flying as the truck came crashing through it.

Police say that Hernandez was traveling at a speed of at least 70 mph.

After the crash, police say Hernandez jumped from his Chevy Suburban and fled the scene. He was later apprehended without incident.

Marten was taken to the hospital, but died a short time later due to massive internal injuries.

The two women in the pickup truck struck by Hernandez were Patricia Guntharp, 49, and Debra Serecky, 51. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

KMGH of Denver covered the child´s funeral and reported that the first song heard during the service was Eric Clapton´s "Tears in Heaven."

In a heart wrenching display of grief and anger, Marten´s mother Marat Kudlis shouted: “That bastard!,” referring to the illegal alien believed responsible for killing her son. Between the tears, Marten´s father cried out: “I really loved him.”

The rabbi conducting the service told the heartbroken family and friends: “This burden feels like more than we can bear because it is so sudden. It´s a parent´s worst nightmare. It does not seem fair and it is not fair to lose someone so young.”

A teddy bear was placed in the tiny open casket which held Marten´s body.

Following the funeral, many of the mourners returned to the crash site, which became a makeshift memorial, filled with flowers, stuffed animals, and cards with expressions of sympathy and support for the Kudlis family.

One of those mourners, Duane Stokes, told a KMGH reporter: “I helped pull Marten out of the building. I was right there with him. He squeezed my hand. I held his hand until he passed on. My fiance and I were just saying a prayer to Marten and just getting one last glimpse of everything around here. Just to say goodbye to him.”

Marten´s death hit the community hard and his funeral was attended by many people who had never even met him, but were saddened and angered by his senseless death.

Hernandez who has 12 aliases and two dates of birth, has been arrested an astonishing 19 times since 2003. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has also, confirmed that Hernandez has been arrested by nine different police departments. Despite his lengthy arrest record and illegal status in this country, Hernandez has never been deported, nor have deportation proceedings ever been started against him.

The police report shows that after Hernandez ran from the scene, he phoned his girlfriend, Brenda Aleman, asking her to come pick him up at a local Hooter´s restaurant. The report reads: “(He) stated after the accident he was scared and fled the scene, he was afraid he would be taken to jail because he had no insurance, no driver’s license and that would prevent him from seeing his kids.”

Hernandez and Aleman have two small children.

It should be noted that the Congressional Research Service has classified both Aurora and nearby Denver, CO, as a “sanctuary cities.” The term refers to a policy taken by cities which refuse to inquire into an arrestee´s immigration status, or a refusal to inform federal authorities when a suspect in custody is believed to be or known to be an illegal alien.

Shortly after little Marten‘s death, retired Congressman (R-CO) and former presidential candidate Tom Tancredo said that Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, as well as Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter "have blood on their hands."

While both Hickenlooper and Ritter have long been criticized for their opposition to enforcement of our immigration laws, Gov. Ritter tried to deflect any attention from his office onto the federal government and called Tancredo´s comments “out of bounds.”

In response, Tancredo issued the following statement: “While it might be politically expedient to blame Washington for what happened this week or to characterize my criticism of him as ´out of bounds,´ the fact remains that Gov. Ritter is in charge of enforcing and keeping Coloradans safe. It´s time for Gov. Ritter to take concrete steps to ensure that illegal aliens like Fran
why not ask the same question about the police and the rest of the local legal system, given that this fool was arrested 19 times since 2003. Are they somehow less culpable?
George do your own work and go ask why, I do not need to since I already know why.

This is very common among illegal aliens and it doesn’t surprise me. I think the boys family has a right to start a class action lawsuit against these illegal alien sanctuaries. A major lawsuit would not be able to bring back the kid but at least it can bring about justice.

Ever since the gov started cracking down on lawsuits against cities, towns and police. This mess with illegal immigration has been growing without any thought of even slowing down. This guy should not be deported and should get the death penalty instead.

does the following message sound suicidal???

"when ever you are talking to someone… I DONOT CARE WHO IT IS, ALWAYS REMEMBER THIS! WHETHER ITS A FAMILY MEMBER, FRIEND, RANDOM PERSON, SON, DAUGHER, COUSIN, BROTHER, SISTER OR WHO EVER… NEVER I MEAN NEVER EVER DOWN GRADE THEM, MAKE THEM FEEL LIKE CRAP OR ANYTHING ELSE! IF YOU EVER DO THAT THAT PUTS a BAD MESSAGE ON NOT JUST YOU, BUT THEM PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY! FROM EXPERIENCE, I KNOW B/C OF HOW MY STEPFATHER TREATS ME. AND ALL OF YOU HEARD ALL THIS BEFORE… NOW FOR THE RECORD, I AM NOT SUICIDAL OR CRAZY LIKE ALL THESE OTHER "PEOPLE" THAT YOU SEE IN THE NEWS IN COLUMBINE, VIRGINIA, AND MOST RECENTLY IN ILLINOIS. I AM TOO AFRAID OF DEATH TO EVEN ENTERTAIN THAT! AND FOR THE PEOPLE SAY THAT I WOULD, I WOULD RATHER RISK MY LIFE AND DIE SAVING ANYONE FROM AN ATTACK RATHER THAN SEE MYSELF BE THE CAUSE OF IT! IF YOU WOULD EVER WANT TO TALK TO ME ABOUT THIS… i am willig to talk to anyone of you. i am here for you, you are here for me is how i see it at this point."

They need and want someone who cares… They want help.
