Are Bush supporters really stabbing America in the back?

December 27th, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

President George W. Bush, Vice President Richard B. Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and Attorney General Alberto Gonzales have committed violations and subversions of the Constitution of the United States of America in an attempt to carry out with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes and deprivations of the civil rights of the people of the United States and other nations, by assuming powers of an imperial executive unaccountable to law and usurping powers of the Congress, the Judiciary and those reserved to the people of the United States, by the following acts:

1) Seizing power to wage wars of aggression in defiance of the U.S. Constitution, the U.N. Charter and the rule of law; carrying out a massive assault on and occupation of Iraq, a country that was not threatening the United States, resulting in the death and maiming of hundereds of thousands of Iraqis, and thousands of U.S. G.I.s.

2) Lying to the people of the U.S., to Congress, and to the U.N., providing false and deceptive rationales for war.

3) Authorizing, ordering and condoning direct attacks on civilians, civilian facilities and locations where civilian casualties were unavoidable.

4) Instituting a secret and illegal wiretapping and spying operation against the people of the United States through the National Security Agency.

5) Threatening the independence and sovereignty of Iraq by belligerently changing its government by force and assaulting Iraq in a war of aggression.

6) Authorizing, ordering and condoning assassinations, summary executions, kidnaping, secret and other illegal detentions of individuals, torture and physical and psychological coercion of prisoners to obtain false statements concerning acts and intentions on governments and individuals and violating within the United States, and by authorizing U.S. forces and agents elsewhere, the rights of individuals under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

7) Making, ordering and condoning false statements and propaganda about the conduct of foreign governments and individuals and acts by U.S. government personnel; manipulating the media and foreign governments with false information; concealing information vital to public discussion and informed judgment concerning acts, intentions and possession, or efforts to obtain weapons of mass destruction in order to falsely create a climate of fear and destroy opposition to U.S. wars of aggression and first strike attacks.

8) Violations and subversions of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, both a part of the "Supreme Law of the land" under Article VI, paragraph 2, of the Constitution, in an attempt to commit with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes in wars and threats of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and others and usurping powers of the United Nations and the peoples of its nations by bribery, coercion and other corrupt acts and by rejecting treaties, committing treaty violations, and frustrating compliance with treaties in order to destroy any means by which international law and institutions can prevent, affect, or adjudicate the exercise of U.S. military and economic power against the international community.

9) Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant."

10) Ordering indefinite detention of non-citizens in the United States and elsewhere, and without charge, at the discretionary designation of the Attorney General or the Secretary of Defense.

11) Ordering and authorizing the Attorney General to override judicial orders of release of detainees under INS jurisdiction, even where the judicial officer after full hearing determines a detainee is wrongfully held by the government.

12) Authorizing secret military tribunals and summary execution of persons who are not citizens who are designated solely at the discretion of the Executive who acts as indicting official, prosecutor and as the only avenue of appellate relief.

13) Refusing to provide public disclosure of the identities and locations of persons who have been arrested, detained and imprisoned by the U.S. government in the United States, including in response to Congressional inquiry.

14) Use of secret arrests of persons within the United States and elsewhere and denial of the right to public trials.

15) Authorizing the monitoring of confidential attorney-client privileged communications by the government, even in the absence of a court order and even where an incarcerated person has not been charged with a crime.

16) Ordering and authorizing the seizure of assets of persons in the United States, prior to hearing or trial, for lawful or innocent association with any entity that at the discretionary designation of the Executive has been deemed "terrorist."

17) Engaging in criminal neglect in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, depriving thousands of people in Louisiana, Mississippi and other Gulf States of urgently needed support, causing mass suffering and unnecessary loss of life.

18) Institutionalization of racial and religious profiling and authorization of domestic spying by federal law enforcement on persons based on their engagement in noncriminal religious and political activity.

19) Refusal to provide information and records necessary and appropriate for the constitutional right of legislative oversight of executive functions.

20) Rejecting treaties protective of peace and human rights and abrogation of the obligations of the United States under, and withdrawal from, international treaties and obligations without consent of the legislative branch, and including termination of the ABM treaty between the United States and Russia, and rescission of the authorizing signature from the Treaty of Rome which served as the basis for the International Criminal Court.

I wish everyone the best in 2007 and May God Bless America!

Your list is pretty exhaustive, and a simple yes to your question should suffice without qualification. All I would add here is that Bush and his cohorts started to deceive the American people far before their endeavors to convince the world about their reasons for going to war, and even well before the machinations that led up to 9/11.

People seem to have forgotten that Bush and his ilk started spewing falsehoods during the 2000 presidential campaign that was so brazenly false, that anyone, even particularly dense people, should have been able to see through it. He was stabbing Americans in the back well before he got into office by lying to them for why they should vote for hiim. Does anyone actually think that when he did attain power, that it wasn’t going to business as usual for this liar?

Ultimately, it is the American people that have stabbed themselves in the back, for not being more analytical so they could parse all the falsehood in Bush’s 2000 campaign rhetoric. Maybe if they had been more responsible, our fates would have been better today.

They are, although I think most are doing it unintentionally as they do not posess the cognitive ability to think for themselves but rather listen to whatever FoxNews tells them, sad really.

    Chucky & Lucky,

Thanks for wishing me the best in 2007 & may God bless you too. I’m glad you live in a country where you can have your opinions, no matter how misguided they are. I hope your love of the country guides you to some day realize the truth that our way of life is under attack. I would like to see this country around to continue to have open debate for our grandchildren, wouldn’t you? Other countries do not necessarily have to espouse our principles, but when they vow to destroy ours, why would you sympathize with them? Why would you tie our hands in defending ourselves?

Again, God bless you for your ideals. You are at least not evil like some of your buddies out in left field.

Hey have you heard the democrats now control BOTH houses of Congress. Instead of whining in here write your Congressperson and complain they are wasting time on trivial matters when they could be prosecuting Bush Cheney Rumsfeld Rice and who knows who else. Congress has the power to do that you know.

Your comments in here have the same effect as flatulence in a hurricane. And all your cut and paste accomplished nothing.

Nice rant, but no. You’re wrong again.

    1. There was no power seized. Congress voted to authorize this war, whether you like it or not.

    2. Cite the lies? I saw none.

    3. There have been no attacks on civilians where it could have been avoided. Civilians are casualties sometimes and that can’t be helped when the enemy chooses to hide among the civilian population.

    4. The wire tapping was neither secret nor illegal. There was congressional oversite. The only complaints came from those outside the loop.

    5. Bullpucky. A brutal murdering dictator was toppled and democracy was installed.

    6. Again, bullpucky. No torture was authorized. Terrorists were intercepted and questioned.

    7. More bullpucky. Just because you say it doesn’t make it so.

    8. The United Nations has no powers to ursurp. Try Again.

    9. Who was stripped of their rights, Padilla? HAH!

    10. You don’t have to charge POWs genius.

    11. The matters were being argued in court. I suppose a genius like you would rather the murderers were running loose.

    12. Military actions to eliminate threats are no summary executions. Grow up.

    13. Not required

    14. Where’s your proff of this fallacy?

    15. POWs are not entitled to lawyers.

    16. Done THROUGH the courts. You’re wrong again.

    17. The criminal neglect was directly attributable to the democratic mayor of New Orleans and the Democratic Governor of louisiana, both criminally irresponsible people.

    18. Profiling is not illegal.

    19. Untrue.

    20. Times change.

You must really hate America and everything that we stand for. Why not join the Taliban. I’m sure they’d welcome you with open arms.

Yes, but I don’t think most of them understand what the Bush regime is really up to, if they did understand they would be up in arms against them. The bush regime is part of the New World Order, and everyone would be wise to do their homework, otherwise we all just may find ourselves living in a nightmarish police state. Look at it this way, if we who believe this are all wrong, they nothing happens if people don’t wake up, and we just end up looking foolish. But, what if we are right, and not enough people wake up in time? Do you really want to take that chance? Just do some research. Look at some documentaries by Alex Jones and others of the same ilk. Then, after you have actually watched and listen to what they have to say, you can make up your own minds. Just don’t disregard these ideas without listening and watching first, because we have nothing to lose but all our freedoms.

You know all that may be true but what is anyone going to do .People that count and make these policies are happy with the system .
It is nice to sit back and say if it where not for me people would be starving in the streets killing each other and terrorists would be everywhere .
People like bush rally believe they are special and deserving of everything they have .
Never mind that the entire defense industry is geared towards survival of its own business and the only reason for it to exist is to kill others . They call it defense but unless your neighbor is starving to death while you eat steak and lobster he is not apt to get a gun and try to kill you .
Instead of solving the problems of man and providing the means to a better life we build bombs guns and try to control everyone on planet earth .We make deals with governments that allow us to mine resources and plant crops and work the people for little pay and laugh all the way to the bank .
It is no wonder the rest of the world hates us .
We Suck the life right out of everything in the name of profit and greed and the world see’s us for who and what we are . The evil white empire that for centuries has built armies and taken what it wants . Always leaving the people in other lands far worse off then when we arrived .I some how doubt the fishing villages of the Island people in the Indies south of us had an unemployment problem or much crime but those happy people paid the price when the White man came . I really feel that terrorist should work on a plague unique to the white man and remove him from this planet .He is the source of all evil and comes in the name of God . fear him tremble at his sight and bow down and serve him or die .

You honestly think that things will change . All the crime and abuse that this government has unleashed upon the world will some how come to an end .
I laugh and call you naive .
We can drive and walk past millions of Americans everyday and blame them for living on the street . What kind of people can do this is all I ask ? The people of God or the devil .
