Check the website of the county that the birth or death was documented in.

I’ve used this website and got copies of marriage and birth certificates from the early 19th century – it’s amazing!! Have fun.

No! Though you can often get them from people who keep genealogy on the web, or even by running the persons name!!

Records like marriage certificates are not public for about 70 years (depending on the state). This protects the persons privacy. There is a place where you can find if a person died. What is you objective? Is it honorable?

use the key words: birth records, death records, etc., for the state in which the person was born or died. ie: birth records Colorado. Your browser will take you to the state home page or the agency within the state. you can then contact the state registrar either through e-mail or by written request to the address posted on the web page. good luck with your search..
