How can I find recent death records in Ireland? Desperately searching for a friend. Please help.?

Strange question I know, but I think a friend of mine may have passed away and I have no way of finding out. I’ve been desperately searching for public death records but I can’t seem to find any. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try people search .com etc There are loads of sites that should be able to help you.

google their name and the word "obituary". Sometimes the Irish ones show up online. Good luck.

if you are not related then you can’t get official death records. you’ll have to rely on newspaper articles or mutual friends. so check out all the newspapers in that area.
also set up a google alert with the person’s name and see if you get anything

Hi I would post a message at genealogy.com on the Ireland country site.. Also search that area for an obit alot of volunteers post obits just in case someone is looking for that person. You can also do a death search at The Latter day saints site to be sure they have passed and not just moved.. Good luck
