library in and around burke have no records nor does the city of madison any other suggestions

records are kept under county name not under town name….so you have to search for ….Dane….(not burke)

Go to your local library and ask the librarian to help you with the death records. )O(

You’d be looking for cemeteries in and around Burke. I doubt there’d be much in Dane County vital stats death records until near 1900, at least post-1880.

Ancestry.com has various interesting categories, like marriages.

John Starzman 09 Jan 1906 Dane
    Clara E Starzmann 11 Aug 1894 Dane
    Mabel E Starzmann 27 Aug 1903 Dane

You might find something here http://interment.net/us/wi/dane.htm

    or here http://www.rootsweb.com/~widane/

    Or ask questions here http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.dane/mb.ashx

Or you might look for your John & Annie Loomis Starzman at Sun Prairie, Dane, WI cemeteries instead.
