LIVING SACRIFICE on CAPITAL CHAOS 2008

June 13th, 2010 No comments

LIVING SACRIFICE perform “Reborn Empowered” & “Reject” on CAPITAL CHAOS 2008 @ Club Retro~Orangevale, CA 5/29/08 also on the bill were DEMON HUNTER, OH SLEEPER, ADVENT & THE FAMINE Living Sacrifice is a Christian death/thrash band that formed in 1989 in Little Rock, Arkansas, U.S..
Living Sacrifice was one of the first Christian death metal bands. They formed in 1989 by Darren “D.J.” Johnson (bass/vocals), Bruce Fitzhugh (guitar) and Lance Garvin (drums). Later on, Jason Truby joined in on guitar.

In 1989 the four original members recorded a demo entitled …Not Yielding to The Ungodly that got into the hands of Kurt Bachman and Joey Daub from Believer, who signed the band to R.E.X. records.

In 1991, Living Sacrifice’s self-titled debut was released on R.E.X. Records. The album received much comparison to thrash groups of the time, especially Slayer. In 1992, Living Sacrifice released their second album, Nonexistent. In this album, Living Sacrifice switched from thrash metal to down-tuned death metal, and D.J. started experimenting with a slurred incomprehensible growl in his vocal approach. The members have said that they were dissapointed with the experience of making this album and that the producer was to blame.

In 1994, the band released a third album, Inhabit, which is considered the heaviest of all Living Sacrifice albums (Nonexistent has also been considered the heaviest). On Inhabit, D.J. returned to a more thrashy vocal approach, deeper and lower in tone than his vocals on the band’s debut. After this recording R.E.X. went bankrupt, and Living Sacrifice signed onto Solid State Records seeking to widen their audience.

After this, D.J. left the band and Bruce took over vocals. Jason’s brother, Chris, also joined on bass. With this new lineup, Living Sacrifice recorded Reborn, their Solid State debut, in 1997. This is considered by many to be their best album. After this record, Chris and Jason left the band and Jay Stacy filled in on bass, but was later replaced by Arthur Green, formerly of Eso-Charis. Cory Putman (Eso-Charis, Norma Jean) played guitar for a tour through Norway and Sweden but was then replaced by Rocky Gray (who would go on to play drums in Evanescence and guitar in Soul Embraced.)

At the end of 1999, Matt Putman joined Living Sacrifice as a percussionist. This gave Living Sacrifice a new sound, combined with the writing style of Rocky Gray. In 2000, Living Sacrifice recorded their 5th full length album, The Hammering Process, with a more rhythmic sound influenced by Meshuggah. Bruce also sang in one Evanescence song, “Lies”. In 2001, A Tribute to Living Sacrifice was released. The album contains covers of many Living Sacrifice songs by other metal bands and former members, and a Living Sacrifice song from a split album called Metamorphosis, released in 1993.

I Still Feel Her III Lyrics

How far back, can you remember?
Did the ice stop your heart?
Oh wait, that was me,
Oh wait that was me.

I froze to death.
My last words choking your breath.

Do the words “Still Love You” give you security
Bottled up like smoke floating over flames.

I have no soul, no conscience.
Floating for one meaning.
Three words, I left you with
Three words, I left you with

Do the words “Still Love You” give you security
Bottled up like smoke floating over flames.

I left you with one promise.
I hear your heart call my name.

Do the words “Still Love You” give you security
Bottled up like smoke floating over flames

What the ethical codes of conduct for MTV,especially their take on mobile phone audio, picture, and video?

June 9th, 2010 No comments

With advanced technology comes responsibility. Lets talk about how someone used a cell phone to record the death of Saddam Hussein. With this recording device they then played it ad nauseam all over the world and within hours of his death a child in Texas and now it’s been reported in Egypt and other parts of the Middle East children have hung themselves to see how it felt for Saddam to die! Granted some experts are saying they didn’t need the visual to set them off, and that they may have been over the edge anyway, but does this give us the right to act in such an irresponsible manner? I think not. For these families to having to deal with their children’s demise it may have well been an explosive device that someone detonated right in the privacy of their own homes.
Now that anyone can become a common-citizen journalist with broadcasting power similar to large media companies, do we as responsible individuals have to follow the same code of ethics as CNN TV, Time Magazine, NBC TV,

Being nice.

I believe my house is haunted. Is there a way to look up public records of a death or murder that took place?

June 9th, 2010 8 comments

Believe it or not, this place is pure evil. you can sense it in this house. your neck hair stands up. I’ve seen things and heard things. I’m just curious, because it would be nice to prove to people that something bad has happened here. thanks.

I take it that you live in an old house… Death certificates are public record in the United States, but the data may not be in computer search-able format so it may require a manual search. Contact the local vital statistics office and ask. A police or sheriff’s officer may know or be able to help you too.

Please Help Us!!!!!!!!!?

My husband and I have been married for 10 Wonderful Years! I would not give him up for anything. He grew up in Upper Class Catholic Orphanages – is Bi-Racial – Was Never Adopted. He has Never seen a member of his family or knows them. He was given a ‘letter’ from the NYC Catholic Diosese of New York to get his ID and Social Security #. He has a major degree from the University of Arkansas and had his own Construction Buisiness that was Highly Sucessfull in Texas. We know his mothers name – which is our last name and his father – who is dead June 1994! The Catholic Disosese Refuses to let him know anything! He has no Crimanal Record of any kind. He is the my best friend and the finest person I have ever met! We have gone to Attorney’s, National Archives (Where I found his father’s record of death). He just wants to know where he came from. When he got on Social Security Disability Nothing was required.
Take Care and Thank You
God Bless!

Hope he find answers he is looking for, if only to satisfy his pain at being abandoned. It’s a terrible burden he’s carrying.

A Strong Political Will, a National Level Combat Force and an Effective Judiciary – Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri

June 8th, 2010 No comments

What happened on 9/11 is something that the world would never forget. Memories of the twin towers coming down are impossible to erase but more than that what made this event even more ‘memorable’ is the manner in which the US government has gone around hunting for terrorists in Afghanistan, and followed it up with an engagement in Iraq, thus changing the future course of global geo-politics. Similarly, 7/7 would also remain a memorable day as that brings forth the memory of the gruesome London blasts; and more than that the way the UK police had gone about chasing the perpetrators of the crime, making the incident even more unforgettable, almost giving a new definition to terrorism. What the US did to Afghanistan and then to Iraq would always remain a matter of contention globally, and has left a lot of room for criticism, but then the way the Indian government has been sleeping on terrorism over the past so many years, and allowing innocent citizens to be killed, is probably worse than that. This is evident from the fact that unlike 9/11 and 7/7, there would be very few people who would remember the following dates – 3/12 (1993), 2/14 (1998), 10/1 (2001), 12/13 (2001), 9/24 (2002), 5/14 (2003), 8/25 (2003), 8/15 (2004), 7/5 (2005), 10/29 (2005), 3/7 (2006), 7/11 (2006), 9/8 (2006), 5/18 (2007), 8/25 (2007)… People don’t remember these simply because the government itself has slept over the corpses of hundreds of innocents who were blown up by bombs somewhere in the country. Forget about a national consensus for combating terrorism, the government is still in a denial mode about the very fact that terrorism exists in the country. This attitude is evident from all the ghastly incidents that have occurred over the past decades and the manner in which the government has gone about handling them.

Starting from the Mumbai blasts on 3rd March, 1993, to the Hyderabad blast on 25th August, 2007, all of them have been a horrifying reiteration of the very same fact that terrorism in India exists and that the Indian government is in a state of perpetual amnesia. Oh yes, the Special Task Force of the Andhra Pradesh Police is surely investigating the twin blasts. But you can take it for granted that just like in the previous cases, the moment the media attention goes away (which it inevitably will), the issue would die its unnatural death. In fact, after a point of time, even media would lose its focus as in this country, too much talk on serious issues becomes a sore point for the public at large; and as such, such ‘socially-oriented’ programmes are bound to lose out on the TRP ratings. Politicians in general and successive governments in particular have taken advantage of this short memory of our citizens and have never bothered to devise a strong anti-terror policy. As a result of this, innocent citizens continue to bleed even after a decade.

Reports state that in 2006 alone, a total of 3,033 terror incidents happened in India. The figure for the year 2007 (till July 31st) has been 1579, and one should not be surprised if by the year end, the tally breaks the previous year’s records by a huge margin. Recent reports further state that the number of people who have died in terror related incidents from 1994 till 2005 in India is a shocking 47,371, of which Jammu & Kashmir alone accounts for 32,677 deaths. Again, these figures do not include Naxalite related deaths – for which one can safely add another 7,000-8,000 to the total count over the eleven year period. Incidentally, in 2005, Naxalite related deaths accounted for 1,594 casualties while the figure for the same period in 2006 was 1,509.

Shockingly, the attitude of the government is glaring when it comes to the state of police and special investigative agencies, our main combat force to counter terrorism! With shoestring budgets, corroded equipment and overworked manpower, what better can one expect. To get an idea of how much the police machinery is understaffed, one only needs to compare the ‘cop to population’ ratio of the western countries to that of India.

Whereas on an average there are 250 cops for every 1,000 people in western countries, the UN recommended figure of having 222 cops for every 1,000 people is a distant dream compared to the Indian statistics of 122 for every 1,000 people. In certain parts of India, it would be tough to find even 50-60 cops for every 1,000 people. To give an example of the utterly dismal situation, one look at the Special Operations Group of the West Bengal CID (which is responsible for counter terrorism) would be enough – the group has barely 13 personnel and one old Ambassador car to take care of the entire state. Similar is the condition in most of the states barring few. But in reality, political interference and bureaucracy stand as the biggest hurdles for any investigation to conclude.

Frankly, it is not difficult to combat terror – for that, we have successful home grown examples like KPS Gill, who almost single-handedly uprooted militancy from Punjab. What is needed is a strong political will coupled with a national level combat force and an effective judiciary to deliver prompt and befitting sentences to the perpetrators. More than anything else, given the lack of political will, it is the common man who can collectively force policy makers and politicians to act tough on terror, enact more stringent provisions in our laws and make sure that those who are involved with the execution of brutal terror acts are dealt equally brutally and judiciously.

Man charged with threatening Wash. senator

Sen. Patty Murray was target of menacing calls over health bill vote

By Pete Williams
Justice correspondent
NBC News
updated 4:22 p.m. CT, Tues., April 6, 2010

Federal prosecutors have charged a Washington state man, Charles Alan Wilson, with repeatedly making threatening calls to Sen. Patty Murray’s Seattle office, threatening to kill her because of her support for the health care bill.

FBI agents say they arrested Wilson after getting telephone records and calling him to confirm that his voice matched the one left on voicemail in Sen. Murray’s office.

The investigation began in late March, after the health care bill was passed, when a staff member notified the FBI that a man who’d been calling the Seattle office for months, leaving messages after hours, had begun making overt threats to kill her.

In one message, according to court documents, he said, "I hope you realize, there’s a target on your back now. There are many people out there who want you dead. … Kill the —-ing senator. I’ll donate the lead." In another, he describes himself as "a senior citizen on Social Security and Medicare" and says, "I want to thank you so much, very, very much, for signing my death warrant."

FBI agents checked the office phone records against the times the voicemails were received, leading to Wilson’s number in Selah, Washington. As an additional check, an agent posing as a volunteer from a fictitious group opposed to the bill, Patients United Now, called Wilson on April 1 and talked to him for 14 minutes. He said he "hated" the new law and that he had repeatedly called Sen. Murray’s office to complain, referring to her with a phrase, "sneaker shoes Murray," also often used on the voicemails.

The FBI also determined that Wilson, 64, has a handgun registered to him and a valid concealed weapons permit.

He has been charged with threatening a federal official, a felony carrying a maximum penalty of ten years in prison.

In a statement Tuesday, Murray said that her office first notified the Capitol Police Department about the calls and was then instructed to alert local FBI authorities. "As this is an ongoing FBI investigation, Senator Murray or her office will not make any additional comments," the statement said.

Several lawmakers have reported receiving threatening telephone calls in the wake of the legislation’s passage. At least four offices of Democratic lawmakers were vandalized, and some officials were granted access to increased security as a result of the threats.

Both Republicans and Democrats have been the targets of violent threats. A man who had used a Web video to announce his intention to kill Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., was arrested on March 29. Cantor, a top House Republican leader, opposed the health care bill.

I have questions about 2 relatives buried @ Files Valley Cemetery, Files, TX. What gov depart. do I contact?

June 6th, 2010 1 comment

I have already contacted the records clerk in Hill County, Texas that handles the birth, death & marriage certificates, but she said she doesn’t know who to contact. Any suggestions?
Update – I don’t need to know where they are buried or dates – I have pictures of their graves. My questions are pertaining to the data on the stones – discrepancies to other records on same people. If there is such a thing as a cemetery office, I can’t find a number or a address

If you’re looking for information related to their burial, doesn’t the cemetery office have the information you’re seeking?

————

Sorry for the delayed reply .. let me see what I can find out and I’ll write again in a few minutes (it’s Friday, 5:00PM in Chicago)

————

Okay, here’s a website with a list of the names of those buried there. The website also has a phone number for info on plot availability and an email address of the person who assembled the list of names. Sounds like the email addy may be useful to you.

It’s a small cemetery that may have begun as a family burial place. So you’re right that there’s no office.

I hope there’s something helpful here…

how do i find a free public death record?
