Death Records Now

My birth mother married an American (not my birth father) and moved to California. Sadly she died in 1990, long before I managed to find her. I have found her death record via Ancestry.com and now I would like to get a copy of her death certificate. I searched the website for California Vital Records and I am unsure as to whether I am entitled to apply for a copy of hercertificate. I THINK that I can apply for an ‘uncertified’ copy but could anyone verify that please? I was born in, and still reside in the UK and my mother was Engish
