Why would police say there was a call for service in the Kelly Thomas case in Fullerton California?

October 25th, 2011 2 comments

When there was in-fact no call for them to go there.?

The Missing Phone Call

On July 5th Kelly Thomas was approached by police supposedly because the cops had received a report of a man trying to burglarize cars in the parking lot.

Here’s the problem: A Friend has confirmed through a records request that there were only two calls to the police for auto burglary in the Fullerton Transportation Center on July 5th, and neither one had anything to do with Kelly Thomas or anyone else in the area at the time

In fact, one call was made early in the morning and the other came in at 11:30 pm, well after Kelly Thomas had already been beaten to death. Both calls were for stolen catalytic converters, an unlikely target for a homeless man with no tools.

So what really led officers to investigate a vehicle burglary at 8:30 pm on July 5th? Why were no calls logged or reports taken before Kelly was arrested? Who reported a crime, and how did they report it without going through the dispatch system?

March 11 Earthquake Japonesa mostra:Sendai airport helicopter Hawaii tsunami footage

March 28th, 2011 10 comments

Japan’s most powerful earthquake since records began has struck the north-east coast, triggering a massive tsunami.Cars, ships and buildings were swept away by a wall of water after the 8.9-magnitude tremor struck north-east of Tokyo.

A state of emergency has been declared at a nuclear power plant, where pressure has exceeded normal levels.Officials say 350 people are dead but it is feared the final death toll will be much higher. In Tokyo many people are spending the night in their offices. But thousands, perhaps millions, chose to walk home. Train services were suspended.
There a tsunami triggered by the quake reached six miles inland in places carrying houses, buildings, boats and cars with it.

Japan’s ground self-defense forces have been deployed, and the government has asked the US military based in the country for help. The quake was the fifth-largest in the world since 1900 and nearly 8,000 times stronger than the one which devastated Christchurch, New Zealand, last month.

Thousands of people living near the Fukushima nuclear power plant have been ordered to evacuate.pressure inside a boiling water reactor at the plant was running much higher than normal after the cooling system failed.Officials said they might need to deliberately release some radioactive steam to relieve pressure.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had the US Air Force flown emergency coolant to the site. But the Japanese had decided to handle the situation by themselves.
Four nuclear power plants were shut down safely.

The tsunami went across the Pacific at 500mph right before it smashed into Hawaii and the West Coast of the United States.
Thousands of people evacuated in California, Oregon and Washington state.

The waves reached 6 and 7 feet near Crescent city California.
A tsunami warning was also in the Pacific to North and South America.
waves hit Miyagi and Fukushima and other coastal communities.A wave struck Sendai, destroying the farmland along with damaging cars and the airport runway.

Did the people from New Orleans move to NYC?

March 21st, 2011 4 comments

TV news coverage from New York is buzzing with the "peoples’ outrage" that Bloomberg and the "government" hasn’t come to "help us yet".

Pictures show NO ONE going out in front of their homes to shovel snow. They are inside just WAITING TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. Isn’t this what led to the death of fools in New Orleans, people sitting around doing nothing to take care of THEMSELVES?

We had record snow last year, and 3 neighbors and myself used our snow blowers to clear the majority if our street and sidewalks. How come the people in NYC aren’t doing anything?
Even if you live in an apartment, if everyone went out and shoveled the sidewalk in front of their building (only), then they could get around.

I’m also talking about the pictures where people dug around their cars, but not the street. I’m just saying… 3 days after the fact, it becomes APPARENT that you need to take some action yourself.

NYC had more snow than snowplows could manage, and the mayor apologized. Also, using your idea (rant?) of people shoveling the streets, where then, would they put the snow as they shovel it?

Your statement: "Isn’t this what led to the death of fools in New Orleans, people sitting around doing nothing to take care of THEMSELVES?", shows how extremely naive you are. There is nothing foolish about being trapped on your roof while sudden – and massive – torrents of water inundate your neighborhood.

Is this really smoking gun of Obama’s Kenyan birth?

March 9th, 2010 13 comments

A certification of birth document has surfaced placing the birth of Barack Obama in the Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya, not Hawaii as the Obama administration insists. In the last week, the corporate media has launched an especially vicious attack and dismissed the issue as a fabrication devised by birthers who are said to be racists and rightwing extremists.
The latest document was released by Orly Taitz, a California attorney who has filed a several lawsuits demanding proof of Barack Obamas eligibility to serve as president. The Kenyan document lists Obamas parents as Barack Hussein Obama and Stanley Ann Obama, formerly Stanley Ann Dunham. Although there is not a signature by a doctor, the document is signed by the deputy registrar of Coast Province, Joshua Simon Oduya.
The birth certificate is part of a federal lawsuit initiated by former presidential candidate and ambassador Alan Keyes, filed on August 1, 2009, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Taitzs motion requests the document be preserved from destruction, asks for permission to legally request documents from Kenya, and demands a subpoena for deposition from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
ast week, state officials in Hawaii said they checked and confirmed that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen and therefore meets a key constitutional requirement for being president. Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution states, No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.
The Annenberg Political Factsheet claims to have examined the original document and says it is legitimate (see Born in the U.S.A., The truth about Obamas birth certificate). Recently FactCheck representatives got a chance to spend some time with the birth certificate, and we can attest to the fact that it is real and three-dimensional and resides at the Obama headquarters in Chicago. We can assure readers that the certificate does bear a raised seal, and that its stamped on the back by Hawaii state registrar Alvin T. Onaka.
Annenberg is a less than credible source considering Obama was chairman of the Annenberg Challenge in Chicago. One of his cohorts in that position was none other than the terrorist Bill Ayers.
As World Net Daily reports today, there is a suspicious lack of documents on Obama, including his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.

Carlsbad Bicycle Accident Lawyer’s Top Ten Worst Excuses for Causing a Bicycle Accident

January 8th, 2010 No comments

1. Bike lanes are for cars too.

2. Cars pay a lot more in registration and license fees.

3. I wasn’t looking for bikes, I was looking for cars.

4. At least I didn’t hit a pedestrian.

5. Everyone’s always against me.

6. I’m not feeling so well today.

7. I’m in a hurry.

8. My brakes went out.

9. I honked.

10. I’m having a really bad day.

Here are ten actual tips of advice from a bicycle accident lawyer to follow if you have been in an accident. You can also learn more about how to handle a personal injury in Carlsbad, or any city, by calling the Law Offices of R. Sebastian Gibson at any of the numbers which can be found on our website at http://www.SebastianGibsonLaw.com  and learning how we can assist you.

Obviously, if you have had an accident, and you are reading all of this advice, it may have been a few hours since the accident. However, if you ever have another accident, or if it’s only been a few hours since you were hurt, here’s what you should do from the start.

First, take a look around and determine if you or anyone, are hurt. If so, taking steps like trying to prevent further injury or loss of blood are the most important thing you can do. Even if some other driver caused you to be injured, it’s just good manners to help the other driver if they are hurt. They may even be so thankful that they admit their fault to you. The worst thing you can do is get angry or start a fight.

Second, make sure everyone is safe from being injured further. If you are in the middle of traffic, and you are dizzy, sit down away from traffic. If your vehicle is a traffic hazard and you have accident warning devices like flares or triangles, put them out on the road to warn other drivers and get away from the car. Let the police an other emergency personnel investigate the scene with the vehicles in place and move them more safely at a later point.

Third, call the police. Accident reports are extremely helpful if the police will do such a report. Let the police know you are injured immediately. Answer the police questions honestly. But if you are dazed or confused, let them know you need medical treatment and answer only what you feel sure about. Remember, your statements can and will be used against you if you admit fault, and it will be too late and too fishy to later say you didn’t know what you were saying at the scene. Police know that your best recollection is immediately after an accident.

Fourth, get the other driver’s information including their names, addresses, driver’s license numbers, make and model of their vehicles, license plate numbers, and their insurance company name and policy number. If there are witnesses, get their names, addresses and telephone numbers as well. If the other driver makes any admissions of fault, write those down as well.

Fifth, if you have a camera on your cell phone or in the car and you aren’t too injured, take some photos of the vehicles and the scene. If you can’t do it right away, do it after you are released from the hospital.

Sixth, if you are hurt, obtain medical treatment. Don’t decline the ambulance or hospital examination to save your insurance company money or to be stoic. Take your valuables out of your car if you can and get checked out at the hospital. If you are not hurt, don’t get treatment you don’t need. However, remember, after an accident, you may feel a rush of adrenaline that causes you to only start feeling symptoms of pain a few hours later. If you have a health plan that requires you to obtain permission first, call them and find out where you are allowed to seek treatment.

Seventh, call a good bicycle accident attorney as soon as you have had your initial treatment, so the lawyer can gather other important evidence and prevent the insurance company from taking advantage of you and obtaining such things as recorded statements that you feel fine, when many of your symptoms have yet to manifest themselves. A good bicycle accident lawyer can save you from making a great deal of mistakes and can shoulder much of the hassle of knowing what to do about car repairs, car rentals, medical treatment, witness statements and the like. If you think you will save money by not having an attorney, think again. A good bicycle accident lawyer can almost always obtain much higher settlements, obtain reductions of medical bills and insurance liens and prevent you from making costly mistakes. Also, most bicycle accident attorneys advance costs of obtaining police reports, medical records and the like and are paid and reimbursed for these costs only out of any settlement.

Eight, you will need to report the accident to your insurance company, but since they will want to take a recorded statement from you, just like any other driver’s insurance company, it’s good advice to retain an attorney first. And if the other driver did not have insurance, remember that it is your own insurance company that will be your adversary. You will also need to report the accident to the Department of Motor Vehicles and your lawyer can give you the form for this.

Ninth, do not agree to settle your claim privately with the person at fault for the accident. This almost never works out to your advantage. Don’t agree not to call the police. Police reports that determine the fault for an accident are golden. Your agreement to not involve the police only affords an opportunity for the other driver to change his story and blame you when the police will no longer investigate the accident.

Tenth, don’t pay a traffic ticket without a fight if you weren’t at fault or agree to accept a small payment for your vehicle repairs without knowing that the amount will in fact cover the cost of all the repairs.
