Tupac’s Interview about the Beef with Bad Boy Records

I always say this beef wasn’t meant to be Pac over reacted at 1994 when he got shot he didn’t know who to trust. BIG and Pac should have sat down and talked about it,to squash this beef. But What can you do?

Please say your oppinion on this beef in the comments.

The East CoastWest Coast hip hop rivalry was a feud in the early-mid 1990s between artists and fans of the East Coast and West Coast hip-hop scenes. Seeming focal points of the feud were West Coast-based rapper 2Pac (and his label, Death Row Records), and East Coast-based rapper The Notorious B.I.G. (and his label, Bad Boy Records).

Death Row vs. Bad Boy

Any hip-hop artists out there who wants to be an artist and stay a star, and dont wanna have to worry about the executive producer trying to be all in the videos, all on the records, dancing Come to Death Row! — Suge Knight at The 1995 Source Awards

2Pac vs. The Notorious B.I.G.
2Pac
Who shot me? But ya punks didnt finish, Now ya bout to feel the wrath of a menace Nigga, I hit em up.

B.I.G
Who shot Ya? Separate the weak from the obsolete, hard to creep them Brooklyn streets, Its on nigga, f*ck all that bickering beef.

From late 1995 into early 1996, 2Pac would appear on numerous tracks aiming threatening and/or antagonistic slants at Biggie, Bad Boy as a label, and anyone affiliated with them. During this time, although Biggie never directly responded, the media became heavily involved and dubbed the rivalry a coastal rap war, reporting on it continuously. This caused fans from both scenes to take sides with one set of The songs harsh content was viewed by detractors as Shakur having gone too far and taking the feud to another level. Although Biggie denies directly responding to 2Pac, many of B.I.G.’s songs can be speculated as being an answer to Shakur’s slurs.

Mopreme Shakur PTBTV Interview Pt. 1 (FEELS GOOD tupac shakur THUG LIFE the bay 2PAC L.A.)

April 17th, 2010 25 comments

PART 1 of 4. PTBTV aka Pushin’ The Bay EXCLUSIVE! In this exclusive / raw video, Ray Luv speaks with Mopreme Shakur of THUG LIFE.

Mopreme Shakur, (born 1969 in New York as Maurice Harding) originally known as Wycked, is a West Coast rapper and was born in South Jamaica, Queens, New York. As a child Mopreme lived with his father, Mutulu Shakur, his fathers wife, Afeni Shakur and his younger brother Tupac Shakur.

He is the older step-brother of slain rapper Tupac Shakur and son of Mutulu Shakur. In 1982, while Maurice was still a pre-teen, his father Mutulu became a fugitive wanted by the FBI, charged in part with having aided Maurice’s aunt, Assata Shakur, to escape from prison in New Jersey, where she had been incarcerated for the murder and wounding of two state troopers. As a result, Mutulu was imprisoned in 1986 after spending four years at large on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

His talent and love for music began to manifest itself in early childhood, where he could be found rapping on the streets of Queens. Mopreme knew early on in his life that he wanted to pursue a career in the music industry.

As a young adult, Mopreme served in the military for a brief period before moving to Oakland, CA. It was in Oakland that Mopreme hooked up with Tony! Toni! Tone! and recorded the hit song “Feels Good” off their multi-platinum album The Revival.

Mopreme’s first appearance on wax, under the alias Mocedes, was on Tony Toni Toné’s hit single “Feel’s Good” in the year 1990. His first collaboration with his brother was on the single and video “Papaz Song”, from the 1993 album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. He was an original member of both his Thug Life group, as well as a premier member of Outlawz. Mopreme dropped out of the group, but contrary to rumors, was never signed to Death Row Records; he also claimed that Suge Knight prevented him from seeing his brother.

In 1993, Mopreme joined his brother Tupac on the single “Papaz Song”, off Tupac’s second album, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. It was also around this time the Thug Code was developed by Tupac, Mutulu and Mopreme. The Thug Code ultimately led to the development of the group Thug Life.

The group consisted of Tupac, Mopreme, Big Syke, Macadoshis and Rated R. In 1994, they released the album, Thug Life Volume 1. Mopreme was featured on 6 of the 10 songs including the hits “Bury Me A G” and “Cradle To The Grave”.

Next on Mopreme’s rap resume was an appearance on Tupac’s multi-platinum All Eyez On Me album. Mopreme showcased his lyrical skills on the song “When We Ride”. Mopreme continued to perform and record with his brother until Tupac’s untimely death in 1996.

Mopreme has recently dropped the mixtape “Assassin & Mopreme Shakur Present: Black & Brown Pride”.

Mopreme was recently featured on the soundtrack for the feature film “Intoxicating” starring Kirk Harris, John Savage and Eric Roberts.

In June 2008, Mopreme revealed that he had signed on as a consulting producer for the upcoming episode of BET’s series, “American Gangster,” titled “Mutulu Shakur and The Republic of New Afrika.” The show will feature his incarcerated father Dr. Mutulu Shakur, an important leader the Republic of New Afrika in the 60s and 70s.

LoDeck- Rude ft. Alaska

January 24th, 2010 4 comments

Lyrics: (dont know if all right, put it up myself)

LoDeck
This is more ironic then getting
fucked over by virgin records
or beating woman with
alanis morissette instrumentals
its like getting jacked for
your lucky pack of menthols (Weee!)
or writing a suicide note on your forehead
while blowing out half the face off before hand
i left pink bunny slippers
on a paralyzed mans door mat
to teach luck a lesson
while bumpin Ain’t Know Half Steppin
ill stab you with border officials
just to smuggle in weapons
—dam your stupid
I kill beats even if I loop em
Truthful to hoes even before i scoop them (Sup bitch)
i tell em i but i will never call
i got a vendetta with you all
Dont tell me ill blow up
i hate doing what im told (wha?)
Girls that play their part
will get it in their hole

Alaska
my catalogs, contain chains whips
and cattle prods. leather restraints
asphyxiated to your faints
scriptures written in paint
prophetic mosaic
leave pathetic flows sedated
ill take away your mouth
like a agent in the matrix
im no angel but i make trips to heaven
write a masterpiece in seven
—remain anonymous
train for dominance
im Felix Trinidad beat you so bad
think Tims your dad
Im Joe Stein Burg
i put my soul in rhyme words
time serves to remind the lines blurred
in your mind, revisionist
vision with the twisted viciousness
i exist to twist i mix up with
say my name backwards
five times in the mirror
ill appear and tear a hook through
your interior, cause your inferior

The reason im moody?
Fuck it im rude
The reason im rude
even though half the time im subdued
the way im subdued
is a paranoid existence
and the reason im moody
is nothing but occupational instance

the reason im silent?
well most people are dicks
the reason that most people are dicks
is because the world is shit
even though the world is shit
all i can do is exist
so the reason im silent?
im just one of those dicks

(Hmm..) Stop!
and walk half the world
in mechanical shoes.
wingless planes. Oh My Gawd!(?)
If it was any other day
i would be sick Rotten!
just because today cause
im a MC, thats glutton
i dislike writing
cause humans got to like sumthin
and i dont like…tuna…crab salad
(and i dont like finger painting)
Im tired and antisocial
except for the wrong moments
United States is corny
but i love burgers
Politics is for bullshit artist
rock the voters with clumps of garbage
(Ahhhh!)
id love to make one party join and
disappear like Lucas
with the lid off with tears of fears
yes its the hit off
to bad im addicted to taking the
progress pre-predicted
eventually we might be as smart as insects
in two billion years
sex and death will
be a thing of instance (Oh Well)
in my imagination your all figments
of sickness and style
phone cable voice projection
non-pretentious unless you dont
fit into my next sentence…
a word is a word, is an extra paint
source like an appendix
a poltergeist knocking inside some one pregnant
my eye sockets a filled with clear jelly
its obvious i fry a little cod piece
kamikaze, crash into a junk yard
full of rusty gaggle
when i die cut off my head
cause i dont trust nobody

the reason im silent?
well most people are dicks
the reason that most people are dicks
is because the world is shit
even though the world is shit
all i can do is exist
so the reason im silent?
im just one of those dicks

The reason im moody?
Fuck it im rude
The reason im rude even though
half the time im subdued
the way im subdued
is a paranoid existence
and the reason im moody is
nothing but occupational instance
(Yes!)

2Pac ft Phil Collins – In The Air Tonight (Only Fear of Death)

2Pac ft Phil Collins – In The Air Tonight (Only Fear of Death)
D to Da Z Productions
Edited by: Drazan aka Drazo

Philip David Charles “Phil” Collins LVO (born 30 January 1951)[1] is an English[ singer-songwriter, drummer, keyboardist and actor best known as a drummer and vocalist for English progressive rock group Genesis and as a solo artist.

Collins sang the lead vocals on eight American chart-toppers between 1984 and 1989; seven as a solo artist and one with Genesis. His singles, often dealing with lost love, ranged from the drum-heavy “In the Air Tonight”, to the dance pop of “Sussudio”, to the political statements of his most successful song, “Another Day in Paradise”. His international popularity transformed Genesis from a progressive rock group to a regular on the pop charts and an early MTV mainstay. According to britishhitsongwriters.com he is the forty-eighth most successful songwriter in U.K. singles chart history based on weeks that his compositions have spent on the chart.[5]

Collins’s professional career began as a drummer, first with obscure rock group Flaming Youth and then more famously with Genesis. In Genesis, Collins originally supplied backing vocals for front man Peter Gabriel, singing lead on only two songs: “For Absent Friends” from 1971’s Nursery Cryme album and “More Fool Me” from Selling England by the Pound, which was released in 1973. On Gabriel’s departure in 1975, Collins became the group’s lead singer. As the decade closed, Genesis’s first international hit, “Follow You, Follow Me”, demonstrated a drastic change from the band’s early years.

His concurrent solo career, heavily influenced by his personal life, brought both him and Genesis commercial success. According to Atlantic Records, Collins’s total worldwide sales as a solo artist, as of 2002, were 150 million. He has won seven Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, and two Golden Globes for his solo work.

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac (or simply Pac) and Makaveli, was an American rapper. He has sold 75 million albums to date and is one of the best-selling music artists in the world.[3] In addition to his status as a top-selling recording artist, Shakur was a promising actor[4] and a social activist. Most of Shakur’s songs are about growing up amid violence and hardship in ghettos, racism, problems in society and conflicts with other rappers. Shakur’s work is known for advocating egalitarianism. Shakur was initially a roadie and backup dancer for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground.]

Shakur became the target of lawsuits and experienced other legal problems. He was later shot five times and robbed in the lobby of a recording studio in New York City. Following the event, Shakur grew suspicious that other figures in the rap industry had prior knowledge of the incident and did not warn him; the controversy helped spark the East Coast-West Coast hip hop rivalry. Shakur was later convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to one and half to four and a half years in prison.[8][9][10] After serving eleven months of his sentence he was released from prison on an appeal financed by Marion “Suge” Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. In exchange for Suge’s assistance, Shakur agreed to release three albums under the Death Row label.

On the night of September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. He died six days later of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest at the University Medical Center.

2Pac Featuring Dr. Dre – California Love

December 3rd, 2009 25 comments

See Music Videos http://www.bvmtv.com/ that you CAN’T See on You Tube! even some X RATED music videos! +Live Chat and Embed video codes.

“California Love” is a hip hop song by 2Pac featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman. The song was released as 2Pac’s comeback single upon his release from prison in 1995. A popular remix version of the song appeared on his 1996 double album All Eyez on Me. This is perhaps 2Pac’s best-known song and his most successful, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks. The song was nominated for a posthumous Grammy Award as a Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group (with Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman) in 1997. The song was actually written and performed by Roger Troutman in the Original Version of California Love, Tupac and Dr. Dre made a modern day version of the song.

The original version of the track was not available on any of Shakur’s studio albums, but it can now be found on Shakur’s compilation of Greatest Hits.

The tune was adapted from Joe Cocker’s song “Woman to Woman”, and “California knows how to party” lines listing Los Angeles County neighborhoods are sung by Roger Troutman. The vocals “In the City of Compton” and the other cities and “California knows how to party” is adapted from Ronnie Hudson and the Street People’s “West Coast Poplock”. The remix features sample from the song “Intimate Connection” by Kleeer written by Norman Durham and Woody Cunningham.

“California Love” was Shakur’s only entry on Rolling Stone’s 2004 list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, ranked #346.

Two versions of music video exist. The first video (directed by Hype Williams) was inspired by the film Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, and takes place in a desert in the year 2095. The casting includes singer George Clinton as the evil tribal chief, actor Chris Tucker[3] (then-known only for his role in the film Friday) playing the evil tribal chief’s yes-man, Tony Cox as the dwarf soldier and Roger Troutman (formerly with the band Zapp) carrying a talk box. The shooting took place in the Thunderdome set[3] known from the movie. It ends with a cliffhanger cut by a To Be Continued closing. An alternative version, featuring the remix song re-cut, removes the final caption and features 2Pac and Dre naming West Coast towns.

The second video is based on a remix version of the song from the album All Eyez On Me, and is a continuation of the video’s story. The premise is that the desert scenes of the previous videos were merely a nightmare 2Pac was having. When he wakes up, he finds himself in his bed beside a woman. Dr. Dre calls him and tells him to get over to his summer house because he’s throwing a party. The rest of the music video takes place as if it were a home video and features several cameos, notably Roger Troutman who is now playing the piano, and guest appearances from DJ Quik, Big Syke, Danny Boy, Jodeci, Deion Sanders, B-Legit, and E-40. The video was made for the remix of the song.

The first video was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for Best Rap Video in 1996. It achieved #9 of the top 10 on MTV’s 100 Greatest Videos Ever Made list in 1999. In April, 2005 it reached the Bronze medal spot on MTV2 and XXL’s 25 Greatest West Coast Videos. It also achieved #1 on the French MTV’s 100 Greatest Rap Music Videos in 2006 (featured from 23 till 30 of July).
