Birth, Marriage and Death Records

where can i find free online public records, such as birth death and marriage?

trying to find info about my father side of the family and all I have to work with is his name.

There isn’t a central site. Birth records are usually kept hidden for privacy’s sake.

RootsWeb has death records for California, Kentucky, Texas & Maine, plus an SSDI:
http://searches.rootsweb.com/

The Brits have
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

If you can see kangaroos nibbling your roses, or say "Eh" at the end of every third sentence, you are out of luck.

Your birth certificate will tell you your father’s birth state and age at the time. His SSN application will tell you his parents’ names and his exact birth date. You can get it, but
1) It costs $27
2) He has to be dead
3) He had to have had a SSN.

If your mother and he were married and you live near the town they were living in when they married, go to the library and look through the social pages for that week. You may get lucky; if they had an article there, it will be chock full of good stuff; "The groom is the son of . . .", "Best man was his brother . . .", the bride is the daughter of . . ." and so forth. It will be free, too. If they were living in Fresno but ran away to Las Vegas to get married, there still may be a snippet in the Fresno Bee.

The county clerk may let you look at the marriage record for free, if you go into the office and prove you are related. That isn’t on-line, but I thought I’d mention it.

Is it abundantly obvious by their hateful responses that liberals are scared to death of the birth cert issue?

It’s not over by a long shot, there are so many viable lawsuits seeking to be heard that the courts are swamped trying to spike them, but people JUST WON’T GIVE UP because Obama the Kenyan ISN’T QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

If you think the corrupt politicians in Hawaii complicit in covering up Obama’s birth records are telling the truth WHY WON’T OBAMA UNSEAL HIS RECORDS and just let the public see what the corrupt politicians are seeing?

The TRUTH they don’t want out is that Obama was born in Kenya, went to muslim school in Indonesia and got a grant based on his foreign citizenship status to pay his Harvard tuition.

And if the truth ever got out, so many corrupt politicians would be exposed that the democratic party would be gutted, and the republican party would be purged.

It would be the best thing that could possibly happen to restore our country.

Get the dead wood out, UNSEAL OBAMA’S BIRTH RECORDS!

Pretty obvious to me. If it is such a "non-issue", why does Obama continue to fight it and spend so much money doing so rather than just showing it? If there was a valid copy laying around…a judge would have seen it by now. So far, the only suits that have been dismissed have been for a lack of standing (meaning the court cannot interpret the person requesting the information as privileged to that information), not on MERIT. Which is why a scant few of them are moving forward. Also, you are right. Just about every politician would reap what they sowed if this came out. After all, it’s all about counter attacking and they would all be spending millions by the day to run smear and attack ads on one another. 3…..2…..1 self destruct!

Performing a Death Records Search Online

December 24th, 2009 No comments

Performing a death records search online is easier than ever before. Public death records have been around for a very long time. In fact, history shows that they are one of the earliest public records ever kept and they were introduced over a hundred years ago. This means people have been keeping records of deaths for a very long time now and continue to do so each and every day. Today, death records are considered part of vital public records along with marriage records, divorce records and birth records. This means that this information is available for anyone from the public to get.

While it has been considered public record for a long time, it wasn’t always so easy to get. You had to go through a lot of “red tape” to get records from the past and you usually had to drive to the actual location of the death to access the records. Today, advancements in the Internet have made all of this a thing of the past. You can now get public death records using the Internet.

This means if you have a computer with a web connection, you can begin searching online for any record of almost anyone who has died in the United States. It’s fast and it’s easy to do. You don’t have to worry that you don’t have a lot of experience with the Internet or that you might not know how to do it. Good databases for these records are easy to use even if you have little or no experience with the Internet or computers. You simply fill out some basic information and allow the search to generate your results.

You can learn a great deal about a person from their death records, especially if there was also an obituary included with the record. You can most often learn the particulars of the deceased and their spouse and you will often learn about their children, parents and other survivors. You may learn about the death, the cause of death, the cemetery of burial and other burial matters.

Death records are important if you are searching for past family history and want to trace your heritage, especially since they often tell the parents, children and other relatives. Death records can sometimes also be helpful in background checks of people still living. Death records can help you in finding a long-lost relative or out of state friend.

Performing a search online takes all the mystery and stress out of finding your death records. You don’t have to worry about traveling to the location of where the death records are physically kept. In fact, you may not even know exactly where the death records are kept. You can begin your online search on nothing more than a single name.

Additionally, it’s all done confidentially from the privacy of your own home. You will never have to identify yourself or answer personal questions about why you want the death records. Because they are public, you have the right to look them up if you want and for whatever reasons you want, as long as they are not used to commit some type of crime.

Are there free ways to search public birth and death records?

December 16th, 2009 11 comments

It depends on the years and the states. Some states are not allowing anyone access to birth and death records unless the person has been dead 50-100 years. Some states have these records online but only before 1900.

In Michocan, Mexico, where do you go to access death, birth and real estate records?

Here’s the office that keeps the information and the fees:

MICHOACAN
Direc. del Registro Civil
Aquiles Serdan # 192 Altos
Col. Centro, C.P. 58000
Morelia, Mich. Mexico

Phone: 91 43 13 93 15
Hours: 9:00am to 3:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Fees: $13.50
Birth, Marriage and Death Records

The real estate records I’m not as sure about. The site is very slow to open, but I believe you’ll find the office listed on the Michoacan government website. http://www.michoacan.gob.mx/
