Two police officers were charged in the death of a mentally ill homeless man in Southern California who was beaten and repeatedly shocked with a stun gun during his arrest, authorities said Wednesday.

Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas said Officer Manuel Ramos was charged with one count each of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the death of 37-year-old Kelly Thomas after a violent confrontation on July 5 with officers.

Police Cpl. Jay Cicinelli was charged with one count each of involuntary manslaughter and excessive force.

The prosecutors said Thomas was acting “in self-defense, in pain and in a state of panic. His numerous pleas of `I’m sorry,’ `I can’t breathe,’ `Help’ `Dad’ — all to no avail. Screams, loud screams, didn’t help.”

Six officers were placed on paid administrative leave after the incident that occurred while police were investigating reported vehicle break-ins at a transit hub.

Thomas suffered severe head and neck injuries and was taken off life support five days later.

Thomas suffered from schizophrenia and lived on the streets even though he received support from family and friends.

Police said Thomas ran when officers tried to search his bag. A struggle followed when they tried to arrest him for investigation of possession of stolen goods.

Video from a bystander’s cell phone taken from a distance showed parts of the bloody encounter in which Thomas can be heard screaming for his father.

Surveillance video aboard a bus showed agitated passengers telling the driver that officers beat and repeatedly used a stun gun during the arrest.

After the incident, the police chief went on medical leave and the embattled City Council hired a law enforcement expert to investigate Police Department practices.

Incensed community members held demonstrations and started an effort to recall the mayor and two councilmembers over the incident.

Ron Thomas, the father of the dead man, filed a claim seeking damages from the city.

He has previously released his son’s medical records showing Thomas suffered broken bones in his face, choked on his own blood and was repeatedly shocked with two stun guns.

In the new series i think i have a really cool explanation!
Hope you understand and tell me if there is anything wrong with my theory or anything I could add in.
Rivers time line:
1. Melody is born on demons run and is taken. Future river tells the doctor she knows that he will find her.
2. The doctor has not found melody at this point and melody is sent to the house (where amy saw the photos) and was being looked after by the silence (the eye patch lady was working for the silence)
3. Utah- Melody is forced by the silence to shoot the doctor- twice (for somthing the doctor did to
the silence (or eyepatch lady) maybe expose them?
4. Melody is given a eyepatch to wear (explains the trailer) so she can see and record the silence to remember
5. Melody is found by the doctor (when she was adult, abit like Amy)
6. Random adventures with the doctor
7. UTAH- Doctors death
8. Random adventures then, the libary
BUT the doctor does not die. He is the flesh from the almost people.
More proof- In The impossible astronaught the Little girl (melody) knew about the silence and was scared of it and told nixon to turn around. Nixion replyed with (there is nothing behind me" in other words, he forgot. So… melody only know about the silence because she is forced to work with them. and she has a hotline to the president cause if the silence can get into washington D.C building, I’m sure they can get the number!

3. but the silence ordered their own death so I dont understand how the now doctor gets killed cause every time a human sees a silence they have to kill them so how did the steal the technology to make melody’s suit?

SO ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPLY that the furture doctor is not dead?

I know that my great grandmother’s name was Kathryn Lescher and that lived in Ohio as a child. I found her in the 1910 census living with her mother whose name is listed as Mary King. I then proceeded to find a death record for a Mary Lescher who was also born in Germany, buried in Ohio and died in Michigan, which is where she was living towards the end of her life. On this death record, her father is listed as having the last name Stein. I then found a marriage record in 1902 for a Mary Stein and a Joseph Lescher in the same area of Ohio. Finally, I found a death record for a Joseph Lescher in 1907 and a marriage record for a Mrs. Mary Lescher and a John King in 1908. Given all of these records, does this all seem to fit together well enough to conclude that these are the same people and in fact my ancestors?
Sorry. John King was also in the home in 1910. I was able to find Mary in the 1900 census but she was living with her sister who she must have come to America with while her parents stayed back in Germany.
Also, her burial was in the same place as where she lived for a large portion of her life growing up.
And the 1910 census says she’s married twice to further back up the two different marriages. The only weird thing is that with the dates she would have married at about 17 years old to a man about 13-14 years older. On the other hand, John King is 13 years older than her as well, so I guess that makes it seem more believable.

Almost all of it is real clear that Mary was married 1st to Joseph, married 2nd as widow to John King, and thus her name is correct in the 1910 census.
My question might be what happened to John King? he wasn’t in the home in 1910? did she divorce him and resume using the prior Lescher name?
Whether or not the death record is your Mary is open to question, even with the last name of Stein. You would need to match up the dates to determine if it is close enough. WHERE is the Ohio burial? is it in the same location as she was raised?
I would still work to find Mary in the 1900 census, and define who the parents were. If they are buried in the same locality as the Mary whose death record you have.. it would be more evidence.

i have a lengthy criminal record that i’m ashamed of. im only 24 and spent a year in rehab. two nights ago i busted because someone had a pipe in my car and i had to take the rap for it. whatever the case the only thing i had going for me was that i completed a year of christian rehab and now everything is ruined. Im from tn and am going to be going to a school for finance in florida so i have two more years before i start looking for a professional job. I’m scared to death that my record which includes one felony will prevent me from ever having a finance job. im getting a ba degree will I be able to find anything. I have been crying all day and have lost almost all hope.

My father died 2 weeks ago in the State of Michigan. We have been estranged for 20 years and know nothing about his life in recent years. (I live 500 miles away from where he did) We have found out that he has an IRA and a savings account with Chase Bank. However; the state will not give me control of his estate unless I can be specific about his financial situation. i.e dollar amounts in the accounts and most importantly account numbers. Now here’s the source of my problem: He had an on again-off again girlfriend who has been living with him in recent months prior to his death. She conveniently cannot locate any of his mail, bank statements, IRA statements, tax records or anything that would help me determine the actual assets of his estate. We believe in total his estates worth to be less than $15,000 dollars. I’ve been told about a Letter of Authority which will cost me $150.00 do get. This supposedly will give me access to this information directly from the financial institution. Supposedly. And then I can proceed with declaring his assets for probate. Can any one advise me in this area? What should I do? Am I doing the right thing? Oh, and one more thing to note: the ‘girlfriend’ is not a legal tenant in my fathers’ apartment and is not on the lease. Can I assume that everything in his apartment is his and do I have the legal right to search it to get the information that I need? Thank you for any help you can give me.

You would hire someone to do an accounting of the assets. There are people who you can hire to do that if the estate is large.

This might really interest you. As your video mentioned there are two (2) birth documents.

1The medical Birth Certificate filled out at hospital signed by doctor attesting to birth of infant, infant weight etc.
2. The legal document the Certificate of Live birth which is filled out at a Govt office. This document is a short form for legal purposes based off the medical record of the Birth Certificate.

So the question is…what was this secretary looking at when she typed out Obamas Certificateof Live Birth form in that Hawaii Govt office 47 years ago?? One clue is in the odd detail of the word “African” typed in to the space for “Race of Father”.If that secretary was looking at a AMERICAN style Birth Certificate from the hospital the “Race of Father” information would in 1961 have said “Negro” not “African”. After all “African” isnt a race.The State of Hawaii Govt secretary would have simply typed in “Negro” in the race slot. But she didnt. Why? Because she was looking at a Birth Certificate FROM KENYA. The poor Secretary didnt know what to do with that. She had to fill in the “Race of Father” blank but she didnt know if “Negro” was appropriate. After all Negro IS NOT A KENYAN TERM..KENYANS DO NOT USE THE WORD “NEGRO” its an AMERICAN usage. In fact sample Kenyan birth certificates I have looked at have no slot for “Race” at all. They dont think in those terms So the poor secretary simply typed in “African” and was done with it.

I went to a free site a couple of years ago and can’t seem to find it again. I don’t know if they all went to a pay system or what. I am trying to find some info on a deadbeat dad. Please help.

There used to be a lot of Ancestral research sites that offered items like that for free. Now they all figured out that they can make money charging people for it. Your best bet these days is to search locally. Go to your Recorder’s office, Health Department, and Court. Usually these places won’t charge you any fee for the search, just for copies of the documents. The problem with the search companies online that promise all sorts of information is that they are not very cheap, and all they are doing is checking those same places that you could check yourself. If they don’t find anything, you still have to pay.

This person was on parole and had killed three people prior to my father and I was shock to know that someone with such a record was out in society. He should have not been out of jail. Do you think I have a case against Bronx County for having this guy out on parole?against the Bronx District County or newyork city for the death of my father. You should consider bringing legal action against either the state (it’s not the city that is at fault, it’s the state) or the parole board, in order to bring attention to the case. This definitely shouldn’t have happened, considering the inmate’s history. Your family may be entitled to money to compensate you for lost income and hospital bills. Yours is one of the few cases where a lawsuit is definitely justified. Go speak with a reputable lawyer to find out which options you have. If you can, try to avoid settling in exchange for keeping quiet — you want to get your story told, to let the public know what happened in order to pressure the system into changing.

I’m sorry for your loss. I hope that you’ll be able to take action against the parole board and/or state, and hopefully help to prevent something like this from happening to another family.
